- MarcOctober 10, 2019Food Network - Best Ribs in WA: baby back ribs are hot item - dry-rub ribs w/brwn sugar rub & cooked on WA wood (an Old Hickory pit). Ribs finish on charbroiler w/apple cider vinegar house sweet sauce
- Erik de VreezeApril 14, 2018This is absolutely the best place in Seattle to have BBQ and Whiskey. Try the pickled deviled eggs too.
- Rodolfo Thomazette SantosOctober 20, 2017Wonderful bbq place... go for the bbq nachos and pulled pork sandwich. By the way between 3 and 5 there is a happy hour menu with cheaper and great options!!!
- Denise FOctober 28, 2016Delicious meat, service is good, nice place, grits are amazing, skip chosing the cornbread. Good sauces available to try.
- BBQ is decent, Mac and cheese is amazing! Get the cornbread too. Good selection of whiskies and bourbons in the small, quiet bar in the back.
- I got their Mac & Cheese both times I came here and it is incredible! Added bacon and chili to mine. So good!
- EaterJanuary 21, 2013No better place to go for barbecue in Ballard than this hot spot. Don't skip out on the sides, especially the pulled-pork nachos and Buffalo chicken livers. [Eater 38 Member]
- Get the BBQ nachos and wash em down with a ballardmaker: bartenders choice pairing of bourbon and beer. Oh and spike your drink with bacon jerky.
- Simon HughesOctober 12, 2017Head to the back bar. Prepare to meet the meat. Brisket, collard greens and cornbread all good.
- Great BBQ, great drafts and amazing burning and whiskey. $5 pulled pork or braised beef sandwich for happy hour. Fried chicken on Thursdays! Try it! Try it all!
- Amazing little gem of a place. Great cocktails and really great food served till 1am.
- Greg YardleyFebruary 2, 2015Probably the best Bloody Mary in the Ballard area - thick, spicy and well-garnished. Great whiskey selection. Barbecue is alright but it's no Texas.
- Ruxpin on the RoadMarch 12, 20126 weeks old, this place has already worked out any kinks. Try sneaking a bottle of the sweet bbq sauce into your purse. You know, to put pour onto things at home (meatloaf, chicken, cereal....)? Mmmm.
- SApril 16, 2015Full menu served at the bar in the back. There's a high chance you will find an empty spot there.
- Lyndsey LNovember 30, 2014A good attempt on Ballard's part for a BBQ joint, but it's just a little too swanky. Decent food, but the atmosphere, service, and bold dishes kill any shot this place had at being "authentic"
- Keri HelenJuly 8, 2013Great staff, great menu. Mac & Cheese with pulled pork? Do yourself a favor and order it!
- Madeline MoyJanuary 28, 2013The non-alcoholic drink options are awesome, especially the Squirly Shirley with smoked grenadine.
- Pieter SalverdaJanuary 29, 2012Awesome new bbq in Ballard. Whole chicken and brisket was plenty for group of 4. Great cocktails and old Rasputin stout on Nitro. Yum
- Full menu and late night happy hour til 1 am, the best late night food in Ballard!
- Holly TuckerMay 14, 2015Great happy hour! Try the pulled pork sandwich and the old fashioned. Excellent!
- They'll text you when a table becomes available on busy nights! Oh, and the food is great. To drink, try the Montana Manhattan.
- Jeff GreatorexSeptember 16, 2012The beef brisket was amazing! Loved the corn on the cob too! The baked beans... eh they were ok.
- Aviv SternJanuary 7, 2013The brisket is amazing and by far the best in Seattle. They use a naval cut.
- Ya GJune 29, 2013Texas Style BBQ, Pulled Pork Sandwich is awesome :) Get drinks at the Gerald on the other side of the road.
- Sandra FanApril 1, 2012Sides are all tasty! Creamy grits, perfectly braised greens, and baked beans were the best.
- Michelle NJuly 3, 2015BBQ is OK. Would have gone back again if it wasn't for the poor cleanliness. 3 of our dishes had gobs of gross dried food stuck to them. Staff weren't all that concerned.
- Haley BrownJune 24, 2013Did not live up to all the hype I read in Seattle Magazine. Cocktails are original & tasty but the fare left much to be desired, especially for the price. Pete's in Fremont is consistently better.
- BBQ Pork sandwich is awesome, especially at happy hour which starts again at 11pm
- Sandra FanApril 1, 2012Order of BBQ tastiness, descending: beef brisket, ribs, pulled pork, pork belly, chicken.
- Katie LawrenceApril 13, 2012The cornbread with honey butter is $2 at happy hour and basically crack in bread form. Get two.
- Pulled pork sammich is AWESOME! Have one w/the mustard, YUM!! Ribs are mighty tasty too!!
- Get the fried chicken on Thursdays, plenty to share the plate.
- brian waldropFebruary 3, 2013Ugh. Still searching for bbq. Key is to perfect cooking one animal and one sauce. With no more than 3 side options.
- Terence ChanDecember 10, 2014Got the cowboy killer and was mostly disappointed. All meats lacked any flavor. The ribs tasted like they smoked it lightly for an hour then tossed it on the grill to cook quickly which made it dry
- LindsayJuly 7, 2012The mac and cheese is enormous. Enough for 2 to share and still be full. Also, the corn bread is burnt and not worth the $$.
