- New Times Broward Palm BeachAugust 18, 2014The only place open in downtown Fort Lauderdale before 10 a.m., Old Fort Lauderdale Breakfast House serves up locals and last night's bar crowd hearty homemade-style breakfast.
- OB House is unique. You might get the feeling that you're at a Bed & Breakfast. Ask to sit along the front windows, a view of Esplanade Park can be seen. Take home a fresh baked muffin for later! Read more
- David LynchFebruary 21, 2015Great place, but they don't have a liquor license, so you'll have to settle for a Sake Bloody Mary (not good). The Eggs Benedict w/Lump Blue Crab & spinach was great and the pancake is truly unique.
- BluebeardSeptember 25, 2019Best damn grits I've ever had. The staff were all smiles, very courteous, food was amazing and the huge toast makes Texas toast look like a mini slice of bread. Highly recommended!!!!
- Fort Lauderdale MagazineAugust 5, 2014Made w/ buttermilk, organic flour, sour cream & free-range eggs, their pancakes come served in a cast-iron pan - http://flmag.com/old-fort-lauderdale-breakfast-house-o-b-house#sthash.Iz02Ihjx.dpuf
- Chaz PikeNovember 29, 2013D-clawed omelette is awesome!!! Great breakfast, no kids menu though. Grits are great, as well as the OB hollandaise. Thick slices of bread, dog friendly.
- VisitLauderdaleDecember 7, 2015Go ahead and sleep in. Get free-range eggs and homemade bread for breakfast- served weekdays until 2 pm and weekends until 3 pm.
- Jennifer BohmannMarch 8, 2013This is hands down my favorite breakfast place. I think the people are super friendly. They do get packed on the weekends. The food is fresh and yummy. There is not a bad thing on the menu.
- Everything is always amazing!Totally reasonably priced, only a $10 corking fee, but you don't even need to byob since their wine is so well priced anyway. Please help keep them in business, they rock!
- Get to know the staff, visit often and have the best dining experience in Fort Lauderdale! Great food!
- Chris PolicinoMarch 26, 2021The new and improved menu and setup post 2020 is so great! Everything was delicious and the ordering system is easy. So happy for the revamp.
- Jose AyalaJuly 8, 2014The best breakfast I've ever had, though also probably one of the most expensive! Try the pancakes... Out of this world!
- ajJune 5, 2014Try the pancake, even if just a small one. You will not regret it. The orange juice is also out of this world, freshly squeezed: 8-10 halves for a 16oz
- Almost always busy. Kinda elitist attitude & high priced. BUT, more pleasant than negative experiences & its better each time (they're new). Food is fresh & delicious. Cheesegrits & bacon are great
- Now open for dinner. BLT salad, fish dip, Mac & mahi, and mahi popeye were all delicious. As was the chocolate icebox cake for dessert. Service was also much friendlier than usual
- Beth YorkMay 28, 2012if you're in fort lauderdale, venture on down las olas to the ob house. after you find parking and get through the waiting/hungry crowd, you're introduced to wonderful atmosphere & phenomenal food.
- Diego NaranjoJune 29, 2013The banana pancakes have to be the best pancakes I'ver EVER had. And I'm a pancake connoisseur!!! Give it a shot, it's worth the wait.
- Greg PhilippiAugust 12, 2012Orange juice is truly fresh squeezed and whole grain toast is healthy and still awesome! Hard to find healthy breakfast items in Fort Lauderdale try them here!
- Naima LynnMay 18, 2014The gentlemen were nice, helpful. Service was spectacular. The setting really laid back and the food!!!! Yum! I recommend!
- Ryan SiroisApril 3, 2013Awesome food! Great OJ :) everything is fresh and they support locally grown foods. Their bread is amazing!
- Chris KeaneOctober 21, 2012Try the pancakes with pineapple and pecans. Also, the O-B House breakfast with homemade brea is tasty!
- New Times Broward Palm BeachSeptember 4, 2012They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day so why not start it right? Indulge yourself in a delicious breakfast and attentive service! Read more
- Beth YorkJune 12, 2012The food is always delicious. During the week it isn't as busy. And the servers are fun and friendly. A new favorite.
- Leeza GotkinJuly 21, 2013Eggs are runny. Make sure to order them well done. The toast and grits were scrumptious!
- A couple must try items, oven baked pancakes and biscuits and gravy.
- Jason RowleyMarch 23, 2015The bacon is out of this world delicious. See also: the BLT, which is as big as your head.
- This is the best farm to table restraining! The owners are amazing, I keep coming back for the grits!
- Tracy PuccioMarch 29, 2015Great brunch. Free parking in their lot. No seating after 2:30 on Sunday. Public lot next door is 10 bucks
- Brian JacobApril 20, 2013Not bad & service wasn't as bad as described! Food wise the grits were great, but order a side if bacon and crush it into it. French toast... not bad, & the mahi sandwich was tasty. Overall decent.
- Don't go by yourself. You'll never get a table. Host gives priority to friends or big parties...
- Moises AcostaMay 19, 2013Great food but I have realized the service is horrible. We had the older Irish guy, he didn't offer refills, did not check on us at all till the end when I had to request refills and the check.
- Danya JimenezApril 2, 2017OVERPRICED. Food is good but prices. Be prepared to pay $30+ per person for breakfast
- Best breakfast in Fort Lauderdale! Fresh from the farm quality ingredients friendly staff
- TatiannaSeptember 21, 2014OB House servers are friendly & the food is good, but the wait is way too long and all the rules are arbitrary & ridiculous. Wouldn't recommend!
- Johan LarssonOctober 13, 2012Firs visit, bit discouraged from reading reviews. The poor service is true, the long wait is true. Had the meatloaf, very tasty but the portion size is way too small, meatloaf smaller than a meatball.
- John DeFeliceMay 12, 2014After waiting nearly an hour for a table we were treated to a wait of almost an hour for our food. The waitress forgot to turn in our order and then brought us one muffin to placate our party of 3
- Greg PhilippiAugust 12, 2012The Chicken Sausage are EXCELLENT w a unique flavor - very much handcrafted!
- Cristina ScottJune 25, 2018Very disappointing! The hostess was rude, & wouldn’t seat anyone even though there were plenty of tables inside. It was hot inside but kept the front door open. Some food was great but other wasn’t
- Jamie DealNovember 11, 2012The chili has no flavor and the portion for the chili and pot pie is extremely small..appetizer size
- Great service, delicious food, free parking. The owner likes things his way, NO SUBSTITUTIONS. Not a cheap breakfast, but worth it.
- Eva ASeptember 12, 2019Very overpriced. Mahi Omelet was runny , refused to do anything about it. Prices shown on site is way lower than what they charge. Paying 25 dollars for an omelet should be cooked appropriately.
