- Philadelphia MagazineJanuary 6, 2015The rustic horseshoe bar was long on brown liquor, with more than 50 whiskeys. The quasi-Southern menu was ambitious, embracing everything from agave-sweetened glazes to house-cured bacon. Read moreUpvoted Mar 27
- Michael MeneiJune 10, 2015Always good music booked there. If you are going to have dinner, ask to be seated where Anthony would be your server! He has the perfect personality and knowledge to make your night a memorable one!
- This place is amazing. Sitting outside and being able to see all the sights of the city while drinking a local brew is awesome. Food was to die for.
- Bourbon selection is awesome, and they have Abita Lite on tap for beer drinkers.Upvoted Mar 27
- Go with at least 4 people so you don't have to decide on just 1 dish. I recommend the pork duo and ribs. Even the grilled Caesar salad is delicious.
- Jim MApril 6, 2014Sunday afternoon live blues on the 2nd floor. Go upstairs! Enjoy a bourbon with the blues. And you can keep an eye on the phillies game too.
- Live music most nights. Check out Mikey Jr. and the Stone Cold Blues on Wednesday nights (which is also free parking after 5 or 6).Jess behind the bar will take great care of you!
- Bre BonnerAugust 9, 2016Went here for Paint Nite and had a wonderful time. Charlie the bartender was extremely kind and welcoming.
- Bikash ChatterjeeJune 12, 2016Sat upstairs on a Saturday night. Great blues band but way too loud. You have to scream to have a conversation . Food is very good but as far as being designed to be shared it was hit and miss.
- Amanda HernandezJanuary 30, 2013Good food. Better than I expected from looking at the decor. The Beet Salad was very tasty and the filet was actually quite good.
- Jessica PuglieseApril 24, 2019The food was SO GOOD, but the overall experience was... weird. At the tables, one of the offered chairs is a really stupid rickety stool. Service was absurdly slow. Go for the food. Sit at the bar.
- Elaine BerryMarch 11, 2015Blues music upstairs is the best. Saw Moondog Medicine Show there and they totally rocked it! Worth the 3-hour drive!
- Jason KrupskiFebruary 10, 2013Good joint, comfy chairs in the front of the stage. Don't order the duck flatbread if you don't dig bleu cheese
- Bernice StevensDecember 4, 2011Make sure you visit Harold at the 2nd floor bar. Great convo and service. Try the brunch and biscuits & honey butter.
- ConciergeSeptember 3, 2011You can enjoy live music here 5 nights a week. If that's not your flavor, they have a separate room with shuffleboard!
- The bartender was awesome. Food was amazing. The old bay fries were to die for
- Mushroom truffle salad, crabcakes, ribs, truffked popcorn-- BOOM!! SO very delish
- Joel A.February 7, 2016Nice ambience. But as a soulfood themed restaurant their fried chicken lacked a lot of soul - too much breading, not enough flavor and not crispy enough
- Visit PhillyMarch 23, 2012You can probably already hear the music from where you're checking in, but did you know they have shuffleboard. Yes, shuffleboard.
- Chromatic DraculaFebruary 22, 2014Summer feelings; mason jars abound. Happy vibes and "Shazam" is a true bartender!
- Rob MunschMarch 28, 2013Who needs a bread plate when they serve bacon & rosemary popcorn while you wait? Yeah you read that right.
- Kelly HorganMarch 14, 2015This place is trying to be upscale, but the food is not that good - the portions are small and the price is insane for what is served. Overall amateur operation. Go for drinks. Eat elsewhere
- Jennifer TranJanuary 15, 2012Love the live jazz! If that's not your style, play darts next room over. BYOD - they only have 2 darts.
- Robin JDecember 16, 2011The Porkroll Project Returns to The Twisted Tail Tonight with "Hard Rockin' Blues" music from their new CD "Three Legged Dog"!
- Come in June 1-10 for Philly Beer Week & win a free tshirt if you kick the keg!
