- Vivek VenkatramJune 30, 2017Down a skinny alley behind Sampan is this moderately priced patio bar, a quirky hidden gem where local graffiti artists have spray-painted the walls and patrons can choose from a great drink menu
- Men's Health MagSeptember 16, 2014Sure, it's gimmicky—small plates, cocktails, graffiti murals—but the open-air patio at Sampan has the goods to back up the shtick, including pillow-y boa buns and an ever-changing list of drinks.Upvoted Mar 10
- One of my faves! Great happy hour and good food. Try the bap buns, kimchi fried rice, and the wings. They have a bar in the back but get there quick because it gets packed fast
- The drinks are great, the bar service is slow & if it's summer forget about it, so crowded. In the winter they have heaters outside, U can have a drink while u wait for your table in Sampan to be ready
- Edgar SarmientoOctober 22, 2015Fantastic happy hour, cheap drinks and great food. It's semi-outdoors so get there while the weather is still nice.
- Bitches Who BrunchSeptember 20, 2017Wiggle your way down a narrow alley to this small bar nestled behind Sampan. A young crowd, Kanye and Outkast blasting over the stereo, and a wall covered in street art give Graffiti Bar... Read more

- Cassie PMay 4, 2013Pretty cool spot behind Sampan. you have to go through an alley way to get there. Good deals during happy hour! Serves the same food as Sampan :) Have yet to try their scorpion bowl!!
- Rob McGowanJuly 17, 2018Loud outdoor patio behind Sampan that's often a mob scene but great to stop for a beer on a bar crawl. Small plates from Sampan during happy hour are reason enough to stop by.
- Men's Health MagAugust 3, 2014If we're being honest, downing "Oolong Juleps" (bourbon, mint, and ginger beer) and admiring a little spray paint art is actually pretty great. Read more
- Ben WatkinsOctober 13, 2012Great atmosphere. Even with colder weather, overhead heaters make it so cozy. Cucumber margarita scorpion bowl is soooo tasty (although the alcohol potency is questionably low)
- Maddie LippincottAugust 24, 2018It was really crowded and stuffy and the drinks were expensive. It's a neat little bar and it's definitely a place you should visit at least once as a Philadelphian but I don't know that I'll be back.
- Bernard Edwards jrSeptember 26, 2012Thought it would be hipster or punk, but a nice normal crowd. Has a few but high quality craft brews. Food is delicious, but small portions. 1 of the more unique setups/locations you'll ever run into
- Mackenzie VillarrealApril 12, 2017Great little bar. Love coming here. Great drinks and attentive bartenders. Small plates are always delicious.
- Helen ZhangJune 16, 2016Ok it's a bar, but the food is the star - literally anything you order will be delicious
- Emily M.September 17, 2013Get there before 11 PM if you want a seat in this small, funky, outdoor bar!
- CheckOutJaredMarch 16, 2012Happy hours here are where it's at. $4 cocktails beer and wine $2 Kobe beef sliders are a must.
- Anne K.October 2, 2011Happy hour apps are phenomenal. Be sure to try the edamame dumplings and whatever the drink special is.
- Doug SNovember 12, 2011Has a speakeasy feel mainly due to the fact that you have to walk down a narrow shady alley to find it! AWESOME!
- Alexandria CaponeDecember 19, 2014This spot is also fun when it's cold outside. Lot's of heat lamps to keep you warm.
- ThrillistJune 14, 2013Sampan’s greenhoused booze yard is the perfect setting for a warm-weather happy hour.
- If it's cold out, Aromatherapy. If it's warm, Sampantini. Any time: Scorpionbowl
- Rachel ShifmanJuly 29, 2018Good cocktails, but the beer selection and prices could be better. Sometimes it’s way too crowded and loud
- CheckOutJaredJanuary 7, 2012Down a little alley off 13th lies one of the best happy hours in Philly.
- Yup, you gotta go down that narrow alley. Not a mistake. All the way to the end. Go on now.
- Follow the sign to walk down the alley, but hold your breath.
- BethOctober 8, 2013Took forever to be acknowledged...so we left. Seems pretentious. No signature cocktails.
