- Peter SalemAugust 11, 2018Absolutely delightful. Went for brunch, got Benedict and side of seitan sausage. So fresh, so light, but deeply satisfying. Every bite was a joy, definitely will be back, and to see the dinner fare
- DailyCandyDecember 31, 2013"Settle into the elegant dining room for decadent yet guilt-free dishes such as red curry with tofu, crusted tempeh with pea and shell bean ragout, and blackened seitan with creamy grits."
- Food was good but mostly deep fried – definitely get the oyster mushrooms though! We were kindly asked to leave because there was a group waiting. But overall it's a nice fine-dining vegan restaurant.
- Lara WalkletJuly 6, 2012You will love the Muscadet wine with the wilted spinach salad. The oyster mushrooms are a delicious appetizer, especially if you're with someone who is reluctant to eat vegan food.
- La LaFebruary 28, 2018Sunday brunch was yummy. As a non vegan I was impressed. The crepe here was great.
- Dorothy DiMarzoDecember 31, 2011You don't need to be vegan or vegetarian to enjoy this amazing food. I have been here twice in 2 weeks. Waitstaff is awesome and know the menu well. Excellent wine list too.
- I got the cannelloni and the phyllo with fruit (did not specify only mango), he got the raviolis and death by chocolate cake
- RachelFebruary 18, 2019I’m not vegan, but all the food tasted amazing. Really loved the beet trio salad, mushroom risotto, and the cheesecake.
- Enrico SMay 10, 2015Great brunch. Tasty seitan burger and delicious lavender ice cream. Nice atmosphere and friendly people.
- Highlights for dinner include the cornmeal-crusted oyster mushrooms, the Boston lettuce salad, and the phyllo purse. For brunch: tofu benedict all the way!
- David CarrJanuary 20, 2017Absolutely amazing! I'm an alpha carnivore, but I loved everything. The green mole is especially good.
- Sravanti SravantiDecember 12, 2015Waffles here are prime. Sweet but not too sweet -- wouldn't be able to tell the difference between these and non-vegan waffles!
- Joe DeMaioAugust 12, 2012This place is awesome. Take it from a carnivore, food is good & smoked tofu is your friend. They make it taste like bacon. BACON!
- J TJanuary 31, 2014If you get tired of the cheaper vegan staples, True Bistro is a nice splurge for a special occasion.
- JustinMarch 1, 2011The food here is awesome as is the service. The teele square burger is kind of sloppy-Joe-like and the crispy oyster mushroom tacos are to die for! #NOM
- Boston.comAugust 4, 2014Definitely try the strawberry cobbler, too. Or the ‘death-by-chocolate’ cake. Or both. Read more
- Margot MazurDecember 7, 2015Pretty good food, fun atmosphere. Grab a bottle of wine and get drunk feasting on ravioli. Your Sunday ends well here.
- Maynard ClarkMay 11, 2012It's a great dinner date if you want to impress a vegan, or you're a vegan wanting to impress another vegan (or even a nonvegetarian).
- Maynard ClarkMay 11, 2012Near bus stops (#87, #88, #89/#93) to Green Line (Lechmere) and Red Line (Davis Square). One CAN get there from anywhere in Boston, not merely from Arlington (next door, to the west).
- Boston.comAugust 4, 2014The dining room is simple but gorgeous, rivaling any place serving $20 to $30 entrées in Boston or Cambridge. Read more
- Maynard ClarkFebruary 3, 2011The owners AND the staff were SO wonderfully gracious to our large group of 11; go there often!
- Lauren AnnOctober 16, 2013Go to grasshopper, veggie galaxy, veggie planet...pretty much anywhere else instead
- Maynard ClarkMay 30, 2011Prices a little higher; "our" 'clique' has no problems with that. Read more
- Maynard ClarkOctober 15, 2011A little pricey, but WAY UNDER what comparable restaurants would cost were they not vegan.
- Ankit BhargavaAugust 6, 2014The bread served with oil was super hard to chew. Tofu was uncooked and the mushrooms were dry. Not recommended.
- Ashlee CassidyNovember 30, 2011Worst service ever and they don't know how to cook anything without frying it. Don't go.
