Everything here is fantastic, but I'm particularly fond of the yasai gyoza (vegdumpling), the Tokyo Abura ramen (very spicy, no broth), and the craft beer list. That beer list is world class. Yesss.
The fried brussel sprouts are fantastic! Go to pai mein on a weekday at lunchtime... they have a great weekday lunch special that gets you a two course lunch for around 15 bucks.
Do not miss the steamed pork buns here! The pork belly is braised and caramelized beautifully, topped with gouchujang mayo and sweet & spicy peppers with a pillowy bun - it simply cannot be beat!
Pork buns were phenomenal, tuna roll was delicious, himayake was like nothing I’ve had before and I loved it! Cool atmosphere. Great spot for dates. Will definitely go back.
Take your time and enjoy this cozy spot. Grab a seat outside on a warm night or sit at the bar to watch your food prepared. Try a carafe of sakesangria, a few skewers and the brussels sprouts. Yum!
People rave about the brussels sprouts because they are plentiful and oh so good, the buns because they are unmatched. I like to ask for what's NOT on the menu. A Ginger Martini with muddled ginger.
really great but nothing you can’t get at any ramenbar in ny. you’ve tasted it before. Also skip the curryramen, way too thick and the broth over powers the other flavors in the bowl
This is my "classy" dinner choice for eating on the cheap. Delicious, filling bowls of Ramen run only $10. Appetizers are great too, but a little pricey if you're on a budget.
Andrew Zimmern is here, few tables down. Waitress said he was here yesterday by himself, i guess, he liked it, he is back with friends:). I mean that tells you it is a place to eat;)
The MushroomMiso Soup and Japanese menu at Miyake Restaurant, in Portland, ME, is Alex Guarnaschelli favorite on Food Network's The Best Thing I Ever Ate.
Pai Men means “one hundred noodles” in Japanese. Pai Men Miyake offers a varied menu of both authentic Japanese ramen and slightly more unconventional fare.
