City PagesJanuary 4, 2013One of the best post-hoilday eats! Gorkha makes it known that they use organic milk, butter, and cheeses, and if you do order something with chicken or lamb, it's often from a local farmer.
The recipes and quality of ingredients make this restaurant a stand out! The owners are of Tibetan origin, so the “usual” Indian dishes have a unique, “Northern style” preparation that is delightful.

Don't forget to order the chai tea. It's made from scratch. Perhaps the best in the Twin Cities!

Ravi RaoMay 19, 2012I'm very much a food snob when it comes to Indian. Gorkha Palace was quite average. Service was prompt. We had momos, samosas, and chicken dhaniya. Food was bland, chai tasted like steamed milk...
NE Minneapolis needed this place. Very inviting atmosphere. Like that there were clearly labeled vegan items.
