- Andrew CMay 15, 2018Bar area is super chill and great live music... drinks are avg $20 each and huge selection of wines and whiskeys and more!!! Actual apps and entree are huge and quite delicious and tasty, but pricy!!
- Bachelor10March 18, 2013If the steep prices have some of the guys scared of going, you can choose to bring your own wine & only pay a $25 corkage fee. We hear the Trader Joe’s Two-Buck Chuck Cab goes great with a $60 porter. Read more
- Kevin WilsonJune 14, 2018Incredible portions, think about any item on the menu as “for two” Especially dessert. Portions are ridiculously huge. That said, food and steaks are cooked to perfection, Prime beef as it should be.
- Christopher FlossJanuary 4, 2015New York strip is where it's at!!! The roasted Brussel Sprouts are a must side (even if you don't like Brussel Sprouts:-)). The buttercake dessert is a perfect end to a great meal!
- NicoleMarch 14, 2013Be prepared to eat one of the best meals of your life.... And one of the most expensive. Well worth it, though. Really make every patron feel like a VIP. Even call you the next day to say thanks!
- Delicious steaks & very nice staff, but they are careless. They messed up my order 2x and I was a party of one who who visited at 6:30pm. Should have been an easy win.
- Spencer SorrellJuly 31, 2016You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Save room for dessert...actually save room for all of the desserts; they're delicious.
- Get the lobster mashed potatoes but with the lobster/Saice served separately. Brussels sprouts. Gorgonzola Mac + truffle oil. Magic!!
- Time Out ChicagoDecember 6, 2011Try the chef’s cut New York strip from our 100 Best list: The high-end chain had us woozy with its dry-ice martinis, warm butter cake, and expertly cooked and seasoned cuts of beef.
- Time Out ChicagoMay 6, 2013The martini is shaken with dry ice so it bubbles like a cauldron, steaks come out perfectly medium-rare & a signature side of lobster mashed potatoes is comically indulgent. http://tmoutchi.us/10esgeQ Read more
- Rui LiApril 27, 2013Wagyu tomahawk medium rare! Can't get better than that! The 8oz Kobe sirloin was wayyy to rich for one person to finish, share with someone if you really want to try it!!
- Lucille FisherJune 6, 2019Excellent rib eye steaks. Very good appetizers, from the grilled veggies, to the beef carpaccio. Classic steakhouse.
- Jolie McfallarApril 7, 2011Great steak(pepper steak) & mash! Since the sides are big they have half sizes! And the live entertainment adds for a great environment to listen to but still at a good volume to conversate w/ guests.
- The food is excellent. But (and I rarely use this word) the service is impeccable. So well trained, so conscious of the guest. A rare treat.
- Christopher FlossMarch 7, 2015Calling all Chicago Mastro's fans!!! If you haven't had the Brussel Sprouts and Scalloped Potatoes, they are a MUST SIDE OPTION!!!

- Christopher FlossSeptember 27, 2017@mcfloss818 and I love #Mastros in #Chicago! Justin is the best at the bar. The French Onion Soup is a great option.
- hooeyspewer .June 4, 2011I must recommend grabbing a seat or a high-top table in the bar area and ordering drinks and the Gorgonzola Mac and Cheese. Seriously decadent Mac and Cheese and interesting atmosphere.
- Share! Portions are huge. I would skip the $40 lobster mash potatoes...good but dense. Order them if u are w/ at least 6 people. Tuna tartare is delish! FYI if you love maritini's they are $20 each :)
- BUTTER CAKE. Real whipped cream, nice crisp outside, warm and rich on the inside. Dessert doesn't get better than this.
- AustinJuly 4, 2011When I return, I will sit at the bar and eat the gnocchi - order a bottle of Italian wine and sit in bliss. Everything is good, the gnocchi was shockingly good for a steakhouse.
- Lee WestAugust 2, 2011Get a dry ice cocktail to start, then a bottle of red, a bone-in ribeye and the gnocchi for dinner. Oh the gnocchi! Little pillows from heaven. Just don't touch the plates.
- Crain's Chicago BusinessJanuary 12, 2011For a classic steakhouse start, try the relatively modest Dungeness crab cocktail, fresh and sweet, with its own small dry ice presentation. Or begin with the Mambo salad, a solid update on Caesar. Read more
- Joseph B.March 16, 2015Grab a spot at the bar and get serenaded by the superb singers while you sip your drink in elegant style.
- Adam LondonMay 4, 2013Ask for Stephanie as your waitress. Get the KC strip, Mac and cheese, lobster mashed, and brussel sprouts - have an unbelievable meal.
- Chris NakutisApril 14, 2013Everyone comes for the steak, but their sushi is the best in Chicago. Lobster Rolls with real lobster tail. Fantastic.
- Update: If you want to indulge order the signature seafood tower! and a bottle of Krug. Perfect meal :)
- Ember ONovember 4, 2012Their seafood platter is amazing and a great start to your dinner! Make sure to get the Mac and cheese as a side!

- Yamili SaucedoMarch 1, 2015Must have their "warm butter cake" for dessert . Portions are huge so there's enough to share .
- Chicago magazineAugust 16, 2011Dining editor @pennypollack says "The bone-in rib eye, Kansas City strip, and rack of lamb were everything wet-aged USDA prime meats should be—mineral-tart, tender, and juicy."
- Christopher FlossOctober 17, 2015Mastro's in Chicago is a great option for a pre-weekend celebration! Live music is a nice perk!

- Meta SmithSeptember 14, 2013The cute bartender knew a lot of interesting trivia about liquor. Didn't get his name but I'd go back to see him. Lol.
- Start with an iced seafood tower. Finish with the 3 B's. Bottle of wine, bone in ny steak, and butter cake. Ask for Rory!
