- Ira BilekMarch 12, 2017If you would like to try a real Hungarian food, this place for you. Do not be afraid to try, it is delicious. There is very good Chicken Paprika. Also on Sunday you can listen to Gipsy life music .
- Cutest bistro in Buda! The menu is not big but everything on it is delicious! Must have breakfast here also! It's a little pricy and service is not always the best but the place and the food is divine
- Fluying ✅September 24, 2016Up to WW2, when his home in the neighborhood was destroyed, this was Sándor Márai favorite cafe. Probably "Embers" got its inspiration here.
- Zoltan C. TothJune 4, 2015Amazing kitchen, pretty fancy place. The staff is very competent but also tries to push you to order as many courses as possible, which feels somewhat inconvenient.
- Really nice service, good cocktails, good quality food. Even the simple mac'n'cheese feels special, and beware, the Wiener is huge!
- Nick LongleySeptember 30, 2015Beautiful Paris style salon. The beef cheek and the crispy duck salad were delicious. Have a look at the wine rooms downstairs. Looks perfect for a work function
- MikeJuly 16, 2017A nice French brasserie in Budapest! You can enjoy French gastronomy in a beautiful place. The food is excellent and the place quiet. Enjoy!
- Justus BrunsAugust 3, 2014During lunch time you can ask the waiter for the pianist to play for more swing music. Breakfast is great too. Have some jasmin tea after your salmon over rye loaf. Woah!
- We Love BudapestNovember 5, 2013The patinated restaurant has nice cheesecakes too, in two different tastes: the classic one comes with permanent chocolate, and the seasonal one is always made fruits. The selection changes every day.
- Petr K.July 19, 2012Great service, excellent food and wine, perfect atmosphere with fine music. Highly recommended! Go for crispy duck salad and any meat dish. One of the best places I've eaten recently.
- Sasha MariaSeptember 9, 2015Onion soup was delicious! Caramelized in nice way. Creme brulee tastes more like crema catalana, but also very nice. Interior and live music is perfect.
- This is my favorite place to eat. Try any of the lemonades for a cool refreshing respite from the summer heat. Today I'm trying their chili honey lemonade. I also highly recommend their baked goods.
- Maria OcampoAugust 28, 2022This place is beautiful. A bit fancy. The service is amazing. Next to Hungarian, fluent English and German is spoken by all staff. And did I forget to say… delicious?
- Cheryl FrancisconiOctober 3, 2015This is one of my top 3 favorites in Budapest. Try the beef cheeks, the boudin blanc or any of the steaks. Just great all around. Don't forget the chocolate fondant.
- Miklos CsorbaApril 13, 2016🇭🇺 Zúzott marhapofa kockaformában sütve, fűszeres krumplipürével. Kiváló!🇬🇧🇺🇸 Crushed beef cheek, roasted in cube form with seasoned mashed potato. Excellent!
- We Love BudapestApril 4, 2013You should ask for the English breakfast, while the French version is worth a try as well, but it doesn't matter what do you choose, you get to taste the home-made bread with salt and butter.
- Jonathan CastorenaApril 30, 2017Amazing food and atmosphere! David our waiter was top class. The kacsamaj benedict was amazing! Best brunch in Budapest.
- Bistro Breakfast at its finest! Changed staff and waiters. Now they are friendly. Place usually is full, food is real good. Go for breakfast or brunch!
- Marcsi ArnyasiMarch 1, 2016The athmosphere is great, the place is very fancy but food wise it's a simple medium. The bread under my eggs florentine were too hard, impossible to cut.
- K. M.October 20, 2016Beautiful place, amazing atmosphere, very good service, but quite expensive. We regretted our choice of breakfast combo, but the croissant was incredible.
- András Sevcsik-ZajáczDecember 28, 2018Classic breakfast foods creatively spiced up, such as the duck liver eggs benedict or the English breakfast. Perfect service, fancy interior.
- Christine ThaagaardOctober 15, 2015Worth the walk down from the castle. The quality is THAT much better than what's available on the top of the hill.
- Aron CohenApril 8, 2017Lots of great options on the menu, recommend the simpler traditional stuff if you want something unique. Try the sztrapacska, skip the ceviche.
- David 🏁 B.October 20, 2016Memorable almond croissant and wonderful French vibe. Go during the week for the breakfast set menus. Martin the barman is the best!

- Alexey KhrenovJanuary 9, 2016Good service, but we ordered the roast pig and it was extremely salty. Prices are too high, there are a lot of other places where food is more delicious and prices are lower.

- Lucas GurattiMay 4, 2018It's not cheap, but it's defo the best food I've had in town. Go for the chicken paprikash.
- Jasna VojnovNovember 26, 2017Very stylish place. I really liked stuff that were smiling all the time and very good jazz music.

- zoltan orbanSeptember 21, 2014Service is lousy, the waitresses are moody and slow, took more than half an hour to take our order. Prices are out of range compared to the quality and niveau of the place. And wtf (pic)???
- Andras FJune 3, 2012Sometimes it feels like the roles are reversed and the customers are friendlier than the waiters. There are always exceptions to the rule, thank God. A nice meal can quickly be ruined by the staff
- Annabel AnnabelNovember 9, 2012Fantastic place. Absolutely a place to visit at any time if the day. Great service, amazing food & fab atmosphere .
- T SJanuary 1, 2018A cute bistro with friendly staff and live music, however I was not that satisfied with the food. The salmon was definitely too sweet, the onion soup and túró gombóc is ok.
- Anna NoszvaiNovember 3, 2016This is a classic breakfast place, but it's not really great for lunch or any other to be honest.
