- Ipek EAugust 20, 2017Delicious authentic Turkish food! The mercimek kofta, hummus, dolmas, chicken kebab and adana kebab are stellar. Fresh, warm bread served with red pepper paste served before your food comes out!
- NB CavalcanteMarch 16, 2020It’s quaint and cozy and authentic, very much my favorite spot to stop when it’s past the lunch rush and before the dinner rush. The people here are kind and the food is yummy! Tesekkurler!
- Tim LuoSeptember 5, 2015Order a few hot tapas plates and share. Everything was great. Hummus was smooooooth. Baklava was syrupy and delicious. Next time I just hope they have Kunefe cuz the description looked so good
- Mohammed BahloolAugust 7, 2016Dolma + Coban Salad are very good but pricy. Baity is excellent however they use tortilla bread instead of baking their bread. It ruins the meet taste. The one I recommend is TURKISH DELIGHT.
- Caglar KurcMay 29, 2013Great place to taste Turkish food. Dishes are surprisingly close to those in Turkey. Kunefe is a must. Turkish coffee was really good and properly cooked, unlike most of the places in Cambridge
- For brunch for two, order the cilbir (4 poached eggs, spinach and thick yogurt) and a plate of Turkish mornings or some pastries (borek) to share.
- AshleyOctober 31, 2016Dolma, Turkish Tea, breakfast omelette and Izmir Kofte are very good! I'm not sure what my friend's omelette was called, but it was cheesy and delicious.
- Sandi TangAugust 31, 2014A true gem of a restaurant!! My faves are sak suka, the leyla hummus, and the buttery rice pilaf! The waitresses are super nice too.
- Enrico SApril 26, 2015I don't know if my Turkish friends will agree, but food was really delicious for me. Great selection of small tasty plates!
- Tufts UniversityJuly 9, 2013Istanbul'lu is cozy with a dose of ethnic charm. Read a complete review here: http://now.tufts.edu/articles/dish-taste-turkey
- Boston PhoenixJanuary 19, 2011Try the piyaz salat, white beans marinated in lemon juice and olive oil, with a lot of red onions and sumac, the acidic dried red fruit powder of the Middle East. Not a well-known dish, but so good. Read more
- M CJuly 21, 2013Ask for bread while you wait for your food. Great turkish bread and the pepper sauce it comes with is delicious!
- Kerem KalkanciOctober 3, 2011Make sure to try the brunch (till 5 pm) one day and order the breakfast sampler plate and a cheese borek. You won't be disappointed.
- Jeremy KrantzJanuary 18, 2016Save some room for a Turkish coffee to wrap up your meal. Totally worth it
- They have a brunch menu that looks even more amazing than their regular menu
- Olya XaJanuary 2, 2012They just got a new menu! Every time we take about 6 dishes and leave so full and happy! :-)
