- CITY GRITAugust 1, 2014Chef Sarah Shafer (a CITY GRIT alum) is one of the most talented chefs we know. Don’t miss her Smoked Albacore Tuna Crudo, BBQ Shrimp, Bourbon Glazed Porchetta, or the Crispy Cheddar Grits!
- Rachel MercerJuly 30, 2013All of the food here is phenomenal (as are the cocktails). Stracciatella Salad is phenomenal, especially paired with the Halibut. The waitstaff is super friendly and helpful for recommendations too!
- Michael MooneyMay 4, 2019The brunch duck confit super-surprised me. I’m not a “duck” guy. It’s just perfectly accented between very slightly crunches in the duck and the creaminess of the sauce and potatoes. I’ve had it twice
- Jenny PuraAugust 31, 2014Exceptional brunch. Salmon Benedict, Pancake and Bloody Mary all unparalleled. A not-to-be-missed Portland foodie destination
- Sarah LensingAugust 31, 2014Everything we had was exceptional. The fois gras was next level (I've lived in France). The trout was complex, zesty and delicious.
- Mike BodenNovember 16, 2013Voted PDX's best Bloody Mary. Truly is one of the best Bloody Mary's I have ever had. Make sure to order one with your amazing brunch.
- Chris OrtolanoFebruary 27, 2012The Meyer lemon cheesecake with poppysed shortbread cookie, rum cherry sauce, and bergamot cream is fabulous because you taste all the flavors and it's not too sweet. To die for!
- Josef PfeifferSeptember 23, 2013Another great happy hour, featuring the amazing egg and pork belly on a waffle with maple syrup and the best butterscotch pudding ever.
- CRUZiiiEFebruary 18, 2016Whoa, the butterscotch pudding is overwhelming! So rich and sweet... One bite was enough. Great cocktails and quality food.
- Thomas GrandJanuary 3, 2016The best Fried Chicken in Portland. Organic, lightly battered & juicy. The smashed potatoes and greens are wonderful too.
- One of the best brunch spots in the city that no one seems to know about. Start with a Mixed Bag, then graduate to Mary’s Organic Fried Chicken & Waffles. Amazing Bloody Mary too.
- Liza PJuly 8, 2018Cozy atmosphere. Great food. Loved the shrimp and eggs. Great waffles. Amazing scones.
- Udi BaumanMay 20, 2017So tasty! Vegetarian options were super amazing: must order the olives, cauliflower & porcini
- Colleen ShowalterAugust 26, 2015The fried chicken. The butterscotch pudding and the ever evolving menu. One of my favorites in Portland.
- Julian HeinSeptember 27, 2014Great food and not too pretentious. I do not like bloody marys, but multiple people said they were awesome.
- Benjamin DavidJuly 22, 2010Upright 'upright #7' Golden Ale -Oregon --sweet, no after-bite (I'm not a beer drinker but like this!); Bibb lettuce salad! Halibut! Friend had the Duck! All excellent!! Great new restaurant!!
- MargauxAugust 20, 2013The meatballs with Yukon potatoes and peppercorn corn sauce with accompanying corn bread is to die for!
- William KilljoyDecember 8, 2012Good brunch, HOWEVER, come after 1pm to avoid hungover dipshits with embroidered jeans and Diesel shoes. (You can imagine their dates)
- Sam FederFebruary 15, 2015If you're lucky enough to be here when the wild mushroom and truffle savory cumble is on the menu... Just get 12.
- Chris OrtolanoFebruary 27, 2012The Edamame Puree, radish, and pickle is fantastic! Sounds strange, but the puree is so creamy.
- Shali NguyenAugust 23, 2019Fried chicken, beef ribs and the ham + pepper jelly + biscuits were delicious!
- Ken ThornJanuary 11, 2013Get the Dirty Sexy Pig's Head. Texture of pulled pork, dark, rich, and very filling.
- tiffany srisookNovember 30, 2011Check out their bread pudding and corn bread! Oh don't forget their fried brussel sprouts!
- Jonathan WOctober 19, 2013The Moroccan eggs will leave your breath smelling like you ate cloves of garlic.
- Robert LearyApril 13, 2015Food is decent, but seems overpriced. To wit: $4.50 for a plain cup of black coffee. Nice environment, attentive staff, just be ready to spend money.
- Get the "feast" burger. Has a little Jalapeño kick that won't disappoint.
- The Sugar & Spice doughnuts are the best you'll eat in Portland. Forget Voodoo.
- Veronica RoseApril 4, 2013The Grits are out of the world... well, everything is, I hardly know where to begin...
- Rob HepplerMarch 31, 2012This place is awesome... But think of how much awesomer it would be if you were on ecstasy!
