The trail makes for a nice mile and a half to two mile walk with the kids! The park is a fun treat after. I also recommend leaving time to view the small wetland area behind the ranger station.

As park map says, for our region these are the first ridges as you go towards the Appalachian Mtns. Hike the Ridge Trail on a clear day to see the Columbus skyline from observation deck, 19mi away.
