- S WalrondAugust 11, 2014Great pub for big groups and small groups alike. There's loads of space outdoors and a bar and BBQ in the garden during summer too. The food was expensive so I wandered down the road for fish & chips.
- Really really nice pub, good music, great garden and well worth a visit, esp for larger groups. Only downside is the craft beer weren't great and they want £18 for a Sunday roast...
- Finding Our Feet BlogFebruary 22, 2016Fab location with big beer garden backing into the park. Space for big groups, great burgers and good service. Changing facilities & highchairs available. Very family friendly, we love it here! 👍🏻
- Emily-janeApril 4, 2017Great summer pub, d.js, mini golf, loads of outside seating, escape room inside, BBQ food in the summer as well as an outside cocktail bar! Good atmosphere!
- Linney SAugust 12, 2014Wonderful place to warm up by the fire in the winter or sit out in the sun in the summer. Often great ales, the food is above average, and the staff are lovely.
- PipDecember 1, 2012The service is a bit shite. And they don't cook their chips through but they are dog &, just about, child & in fact generally friendly. Very nice spot by the heater at western end & tv showing rugger.
- Carl-john FoxMay 12, 2014Food was awesome, loved the pub .... Strangely the parents were more of an issue than the children (maybe watch the volume when screaming at your offspring)
- Sam J.April 9, 2016Good beers and atmosphere, the outdoor space is comfy. Great for birthdays and meeting big groups of friends.
- Sam GowerMay 6, 2013A lovely place to sit in the sun. Despite the many people due to a lovely may bank holiday we found the service very good.
- Remix & RelaxMarch 6, 2018Funky but cute local pub, 2-4-1 burgers on Mondays which were tasty and a real fire. Winning!
- If you're looking for a place to plug in your laptop or phone then all of the outside booths have plugs behind the white rain-caps!
- Brooke LouiseJune 17, 2017Big outside. Good beer selection. Quick friendly service. Good dogs. No idea about food qual coz didnae.
- Two Sunday roast options are available for vegetarians: a nut roast and a seitan roast
- Louise OrganJune 12, 2017It's lots of fun, The roast was good but not a lot of options, and not a lot of options on the burger bar outside either, as well as being really slow, a "30 minute wait" turned into over an hour.
- Sarah CookAugust 5, 2016Beautiful outside area and loads of different fun things to do including an escape room.
- Fabio NogueiraMarch 29, 2014Really nice food and such a beautiful view to "Vicky Park". Angus 100% beef was amazing.
- Service and ambience way better than in the past, reliable room to breath most nights and cosy log fire Sunday dinners
- GeorgeAugust 31, 2015Very nice pub perched on Victoria Park with a great selection of ales and very good food
- Decent (but quite expensive) self-brewed beers - the ESB is particularly good. Large part-covered garden with heaters for the autumn and winter.
- Try the amazing bloody mary that is made in a huge jug- it's thick, chunky, fragrant, spicy..almost like a gazpacho but alcoholic!
- Nicola WAugust 21, 2013Nice place to have a quiet drink mid-week overlooking Victoria Park, and bike-friendly in the beer garden.
- Simon BruceApril 3, 2015This place seems to have improved a lot in recent times. Definitely worth a trip.
- Mike MarfurtAugust 3, 2014A bit pricy for what it is and no veggie option. Great beer garden so definitely worth a beer!
- Vic McGinJune 18, 2017Too hectic for me. Never enough staff on the bar, takes an age to be served. Saying that, there's a huge beer garden which is ideal for birthdays.
- Cyrièle PiancastelliJuly 9, 2017Their Spritz aren't proper Spritz. It's fizzy water with aperol and a sip of prosecco. Apparently it's "how they're told to do it here". I tried to offer to pay more for a proper one and they said no.
- Michelle GoodallApril 1, 2012If u love waiting 25 mins for a drink and surly service on a Sunday come here. Lovely spot but woeful attitude...
- Sunday evenings after the spawn and hounds have gone home but before the kitchen closes, the veggie wellington is divine.
- Hannah PeacockMay 21, 2018Took us over and hour to get served at the bar and an addition two hours for our food to arrive. Terrible service. I would not go for food here again.
- Simon FrostMay 13, 2017Seriously gone downhill. Menu makes no sense. No more lunch on a weekend just a bad brunch menu. Oppressive beer garden.
- NicJune 14, 2014This pub is unbelievably bad. Service is the worst I've ever come across. Been in a few times as the quiz is really good but it takes hours to get served and you often end up with the wrong thing.
- Glen ThomasJune 1, 2014Service is awful, the self brewed beer unbelievably bland and over-priced. If you're looking for a pub the nearby Royal Inn on the Park has better beer, cheaper prices, and much, much better service.
- cosmicNovember 22, 2010Try the "lamb scrimpetts" from the snack menu (no, I don't know either!) but they taste absolutely ACE!
- Heidi BlantonAugust 15, 2011Service was slow at the bar, but there is a nice garden, and a great room upstairs for parties/banquets. Read more
- Dog and child friendly! Great food, summer outdoor BBQs, and friendly staff.
- book ahead in winter, as it is freezing on the tables outside.
- Anthony SykesSeptember 28, 2014Absolutely awful place. Slow service, expensive food and drinks, run down, incompetent staff and just a terrible vibe. Avoid at all costs.
