- Colin AdamsApril 20, 2015Their espresso is freshly roasted locally and always great. They also have excellent pastries from a nearby bakery. Highly recommended the chocolate croissant or blueberry muffin.
- CITY GRITAugust 1, 2014This downtown cafe is the boutique arm of Coffee Bean International, one of North America's largest roasters and the home to one of the only Slayer Espresso machines in Portland.
- By far my favorite coffehouse in Portland. Simple, neutral, sterile layout - very European. Different music each time - every once in a while I'll hit a day when they softly bump trance! Love, love.
- Ms HeleneJuly 29, 2016Bake Shop pastries and standout granola $3. Almond cappuccino good $3.50. Unexciting decor but sunny street corner downtown.
- Meah BFebruary 11, 2015Great place to relax with a cup if coffee on a rainy day. They have a fun window seating area to people watch the folks passing by on the street.
- Ernest KimAugust 21, 2011Fantastic espresso and pour over coffees. Pictured here is one of their beautiful espresso machines called The Slayer. The nearby Stumptown is excellent as well, but don't overlook Public Domain.
- One of the best coffees in town. Really like their home made Granola. Expect a long line in the morning.
- Erik GranlundApril 13, 2013Minimalistic coffee place that makes an amazing cup of coffee. If you want something loaded with a ton of sugar masking the taste of coffee, this is not your place.
- KatyJuly 15, 2015I always get a macchiato in house and sit with my latest book in the afternoons. Best part? The cookie on the side!
- Rajesh MidhaFebruary 4, 2015The house blend coffee is a mix of beans selected and tasted by the baristas at Public. Highly recommend.
- Ekkapong T.August 17, 2014Fantastic coffee. My friend, coffee newbie, took a while to decide what to order that seems to upset the grumpy barista.
- David RamalhoJuly 19, 2015Great coffee and friendly staff that helped us find more spots to check out when we visited Portland.
- Vanilla lattes are from another world. Consistently great coffee - I always bring the family here when they're in town. They agree.
- Kelly ElanderOctober 22, 2014Great coffee and atmosphere. Free refills and WiFi. Good place to work or study.
- Angie HartloveNovember 23, 2013Wow! I felt like I was in the way at a little after 5 pm, all employees cleaning up and shutting down around me... Even though they don't even close until 6! Not the greatest first impression.
- Try either Prometheus Espresso or Panama Esmeralda Special Mario Carnaval ($6 a cup or $80 per lbs)! They also have really good cold-brewed coffee.
- Zack SheppardNovember 15, 2015Good free wifi, super friendly staff, great spot but no power outlets.
- Marshall KirkpatrickDecember 31, 2011If you thought this place was all about couches and comfortable conversations, you have mistaken its previous iterations for its current one, which kind of sucks. Unless u want an indie Starbucks.
- Dave BriggsJanuary 14, 2011Are you an Aussie looking for a coffee like at home? Head to Public Domain for some of the best coffee you'll have in the states
- Hotel LuciaApril 27, 2011Great coffee & just steps from our front door. Public Cuppings (coffee tasting) are Saturday and Sunday at 2pm!
- Mike PodwalMay 19, 2012Superlative pastries in all varieties. The brioche and croissants are unreasonably good.
- Celena CarrOctober 18, 2010Good alternative to stumptown in downtown Portland. Designed for short stays with lots of bar seating and standing space.
- The workers here noticeably take pride in what they serve. As someone who values quality over quantity I'll go here over a big chain coffeehouse anytime.
- Eric BarnesSeptember 9, 2013They do not provide sugar for coffee. They make their own simple syrup mixture. So bring your own or use their syrup mix.
- Pinky GonzalesJanuary 3, 2011Outstanding service, music selection and coffee expertise. The newest employee could pass for the owner. Bravo!
- Jack HeimbignerMay 30, 2012If your coming to work on A computer or sit for a while, you might want to go elsewhere. No outlets, and only bar stools.
