- T NNovember 10, 2014Wonderful and wide selection of ales and ciders with friendly and helpful staff. Cosy space to keep warm and relax, next time I'll be back to fill stomach with food too.
- Diego ObereMarch 12, 2017Sunday roast dishes are great (specially the lamb shank) but waiting forever for a table and, then having to go again a quiue at the bar to order your lunch just spoils the whole experience!
- warren margoliesApril 8, 2013Absolutely top marks! Met a couple local friends here who recommended it for the ale selection and the Sunday Roast. A great veggie take on the Roast, and friendly and knowledgeable barkeeps.
- Mark MakinJuly 15, 2016Busy, bustling fun venue with a reasonably priced food menu (try the burger) and a good selection of beers and spirits served by good staff.
- Vic McGinOctober 27, 2015Cozy little pub, very nice on a cold day. Gets very busy on a Sunday with everyone scouting for a roast. I got the goats cheese veg option, it wasn't great.
- BarChickAugust 27, 2013Their beer selection, chalked up on a massive board above the bar, is impressive. Camden Town Brewery and Meantime are there to name a few http://barchick.com/bar-chat/londons-best-bars-for-beers/
- Felix KullMarch 5, 2013What a wonderful place to be in! Huge selection of beers from local breweries as well as international brands. Go and try the Augustiner!
- Tory LoweApril 25, 2016Craft beers! The staff are generous with their time and super knowledgable. Also, great bar food and Sunday roasts. No music.
- Amy RobinsonAugust 23, 2014Huge selection of beers on tap and quite a large space. Good for celebrations.
- Sam J.October 22, 2015Good place to have a chat - they have loads of different beers, and the inside looks lovely. But it's not a very dynamic/lively place.
- Matheus AraujoAugust 24, 2015Really good Pub with good selection of beers and an amazing Sunday Roaster with 2 vegetarian options.
- Totally done up. No longer second on Stokey's Fearsome Pubs leaderboard (the first will ALWAYS be The Rochester). Lots of great beers, nice atmosphere, and a kitchen that's open 'til 9.
- A wealth of great ales to choose from (always changing), including mouth-watering Belgian trappist beer. And the burger is the best in Stokey!
- Sunday roasts are great, but I feel considerably let down by the Saturday fayre. Death by oily batter. Calamari and fish n chips way too greasy and the lamb shank needs a steak knife to cut through it
- Jordi LlobetDecember 7, 2014Huge list of different beers. Big pub and full of nice people. Totally recommended.
- Vicky BarlowFebruary 18, 2011This pub is AMAZING!!!! The most intersting range of beers and ciders I've ever seen, the food is beautiful and plentiful- the place is full, but not overly busy or noisy. Yeah!
- George ArcherAugust 15, 2011AMAZING selection of beers (Brooklyn Brewery ale), barstaff know what they're talking about. Not enough seats outside but to be fair its on a high street
- Just reopened this weekend, it's a really great space with 9 ale pumps and Elliot Smith on the stereo! The food looked good too, even had a plate of bratwurst on the menu, what's not to like!
- Excellent local pub. Get there early on Sundays if you want roast.
- Lots of craft beer choices. Food is good. Sausage is awesome.
- Wide range of real ale, perry, stout, and Belgium beers. Also do a fair selection of wine, and excellent food. Totally different from the old jolly butchers
- Hayley MillerDecember 8, 2014Good for a chat, no music and plenty of drinks choices, local beers etc
- Stokey history fact:on the wall of this pub on Garnham st side you can just make out a mosaic which shows the duchess of Devonshire canvassing the jolly butchers for their votes for Fox from1800s
- Rebecca TPJanuary 27, 2013Sunday Roast is tasty but if your not a gravy fan ask for it on the side or your food will be swimming in it
- James AllenSeptember 8, 2012Fantastic range of Belgian beers, including a B.B, ESQ. favourite: Delirium Tremens.
- Keep an eye on your mobile devices, particularly on a busy night. Several phones and laptops have disappeared from this busy pub.
- Amazing Burgers! and a good pint too! really nice, but super hard to get a table at weekends.
- Irfan QureshiJune 3, 2012Decent Sunday roast, great selection of drinks! Love the atmosphere. Lack of music though
- ChristelleFebruary 26, 2012The veggie roast is very nice and cheap! Although the gravy lacks a bit of flavour.
- LondonistDecember 5, 2010Americans: think us Brits can't do a decent rack of ribs? Try the Butchers' offering. Like surgery on a plate (in a yummy way).
- Tiago Teixeira CorreiaMarch 11, 2015They say they have good beer but I just go for the people watching
- Ever changing selection of ales, if a favourite disappears, easy to find a new favourite
