In my hood but just tried and found it surprisingly good! Both pasta and fish were tasty and hearty portions. Service was attentive and quick. Atmosphere dark and a bit homey. Try it if nearby!

Authentic, fulfilling exp if you order well. After your bread & lentils, try tiella pugliese, indulgent mussel & tomato risotto layered over potato. Small ravioli portion. Finish w moist tiramisu.

Pasta and seafood reign supreme at Mercato. Get the heaping plate of seafood linguine, coated in fiery fra diavolo, which practically bursts with mussels, squid, shrimp and clams.

A traditional NY Italian restaurant feel, with traditional food. Might have preferred something a bit lighter. Somewhat crowded and noisy, but friendly. Friday/weekend reservations recommended.

Though the portions are medium-small, the spaghetti is among the best spaghetti I've ever had. Rich garlic flavor with ample (truly) fresh tomato sauce.

Open super late and amazing Italian food. Possibly, some of the best pasta in the city! Great for a post broadway meal or night cap, only a 10 minute walk.

Great neighbourhood Italian - food / service / atmosphere all way above average, an impromptu business lunch thoroughly enjoyed by four jaded Europeans.

Great ambiance. Authentic and unique dishes that are all delicious. I can't resist the lasagne. And, the ricotta cheesecake is a fave of mine. Not too sweet so don't expect "cheesecake factory". Read more

The rigatoni with eggplant and salted ricotta was PHENOM. Others in my group loved their meals as well. Fried artichoke was small but really tasty. I want to try everything on the menu!

Just a few blocks from Port Authority, you’ll find this mood-lit trattatoria, it’s well-stocked wine vault, and a cozy atmosphere that feels anything but “bridge and tunnel.”

I'm a regular here, Owner Fabio specialty is classic cocktails of old which is fun. Of note: the Burratina, Stracciatella, Orecchiette, and the Orata. Warm and authentic.

Hole-in-the-wall restaurant serving fresh, perfectly cooked pasta. Of the three dishes I got to taste, my favorite was the trenette.

In a tourist-frenzied area w/ little to eat other than $1 pizza slices, Mercato stands out! Pasta is fresh and above average. It's one of the few good options in a 2 block radius.

You can definitely find better Italian in the city. Came for a birthday, and was charged a ridiculous cake cutting fee that was not communicated at the start. Group of 5 and 20% tip was already added.
