- Barbara NelsonNovember 12, 2015The Best breakfast ever. So good there is nearly always a wait. . but soooo worth the wait. Can tell the best place by the line with coffee cups in their hands chatting with each other. Don't miss it!
- Andrew DAugust 24, 2014"The Grant" is perfect with scrambled eggs. The staff and environment are all super welcoming. One of my favorites in Manhattan!
- Amy MoritzJuly 7, 2013Very cute locale, be prepared to wait for a table on Saturday morning. I wasn't a huge fan of my pot pie because it was more like puff pastry over chicken soup, but their hot chocolate was perfect.
- Bryan KleinMarch 5, 2014The only part about The Chef Cafe that isn't awesome is the line of other people that you will sometimes encounter who also love the food and staff here.
- Love the biscuits and gravy, and it's cheap! They make a great screwdriver as well.
- The Chef has a good selection of cheap and expensive priced food, but it is all delicious! Get there early as it always has a wait.
- Thomas RookeOctober 22, 2014Everything about this place is perfect. The staff, food and atmosphere. Now if only there was more seating!
- Nina BaileyOctober 12, 2013Never have had a bad meal here and I try something different every time. Super long wait on the weekend if you don't time it just right
- Bryce ArkosDecember 2, 2012Probably the best breakfast anywhere. I mean a Chuck Norris special...!! Just beware the Sunday morning wait.
- Hard to find anything that isn't good here. The gravy alone stands out. And the hash browns, oh my.
- The smothered breakfast burrito is the best breakfast in town.
- The service is always friendly and very attentive, and the hash browns are addictive!
- Be prepared for a long wait on the weekend. You can start drinking your coffee while you wait, though!
- Give the breakfast tacos a try (Mondays only). Delicious!
- Great food and great atmosphere. Kurstin and the whole staff are awesome!
- The Classic! Substitute a chorizo and pork sausage patty for bacon , it doesn't get much better.
- Great smothered breakfast burrito. Swap a gigantic pancake in place of the potatoes.
- Sterling HanenkampApril 24, 2010Try the PB&J Pancakes from the kid's menu... comes in adult portions.
- The ultimate breakfast test. Eggs Benedict. 100% on that one.
