- We complained about the lack of steak in the steak bap and they did bring us a lovely one to replace it. so I guess if people arent happy they should say so because the staff are lovely & helpful.😃
- Lovely decor, dog friendly, I love the pear cider, but it is costly £5.50 a bottle. the cod and chips are the best and good value for money, anything else seems like small portions for a lot of money
- Linney SAugust 12, 2014Great place to stop for a drink or a bite to eat while walking/cycling/running the towpath. Guest ales, nice chips and tons of places to sit outside.
- Always a nice beer, with good views. What else do you need? Oh, the food’s great and the pub is beautiful.
- Andrea CapellaOctober 30, 2013Nice place, close to the river. I love their pizza. Have a nice selection of wines and you can have great beers here, as Blue moon.
- Martina JuzkaApril 1, 2013Great place..amazing interior with this warm homely feeling..very cosy..Love it..definitely one of my favourite ones London
- Eamonn CareyMay 17, 2014A gem of a place. Get a seat by the River on a sunny day and watch the world go by
- Max Scott-SladeMarch 14, 2016Not many good beers on tap, but the Truman Pale will get you through. Get some local craft stuff you nutters!
- A completely different place after a July refit from owners Youngs. Gastropub menu, posh decor and family-friendly setting replaces sports screens and quiz nights.
- Simon StuartApril 28, 2013A great location, which made the dire Sunday Lunch all the worse. Should have realised when everyone was going for the pizzas, burgers or fish & chips. Bland, unseasoned and overcooked everything
- EmliJanuary 18, 2014Very nice place but a little heavy on the bread. That said, do try the garlic pizza bread!
- The GuardianFebruary 15, 2012A lovely place for a weekend pint by the Lea Navigation Canal, which runs from Lea Bridge Road to Bow Lock.
- Try the burgers! Very yum! And you can bring your dogs too!
- Daniel DaviesNovember 14, 2010this pub is great in the winter too when the coal fire is ablaze. The real ale is well managed and addictive.
- Lively spot by the canal the food can be hit or miss though.
- Charles evansJuly 7, 2012Reopened as another Hackney estab that thinks this is the new Notting Hill. No, just give us decent grub at normal prices, please. U have a good location, not a gr8 one. & normal people not nuv riche
- Matt WhiteAugust 31, 2013Actually, it's more than just wanky - it's unnecessarily expensive and the beer has cack in it.
- Young's pub, does standard pub grub, big screens for sports. Right by the canal, great in the summer.
- The GuardianFebruary 15, 2012A lovely place for a weekend pint by the Lea Navigation Canal, which runs from Lea Bridge Road to Bow Lock. Opened in 1768 to bypass Old River Lea & the start of a route towards the Olympic village Read more
