The only square with all of its original buildings still present. Also the only square without a monument in the center. A very old slave cemetery lies beneath.

Laid out in 1851 and named in honor of John C. Calhoun. While here, be sure to visit the Massie School and Wesley Monumental Methodist Church, both are located on Calhoun Square. Read more

If you get caught in the rain and think you're up for a lil' run, hop over to the Whitefeild square a few blocks over, it has a gazebo you can wait out the storm in.
