- Kevin ThompsonDecember 8, 2012Drove to NO From NC. Heard about this place on food network. It didn't disappoint. Wow. We had the French fry PO boy and the root beer ham. Amazing! The sweet potato pie is out of this world!
- Colleen LoriaNovember 25, 2013The shrimp po boy was absolutely delicious. The roast beef po poy is made with chuck Roast not the typical type of beef usually used in RB po boys. It was good but the prices were very very high!
- Boyd CaptainGritsJuly 22, 2014Ok this place is amazing. I had a great waitress and great food. My wife had shrimp, fried green tomato poboy and I had the peacemaker. We both loved our choices.
- Bryan IraceApril 17, 2017Great sandwiches, if you’re over by the cemetery. Not sure it’s worth trekking all the way here just for the food if you’re not already in the neighborhood, as I’m sure there are comparable places.
- Anna de JesusApril 8, 2013Good pacemaker and jumbo shrimp poboy. Ask for the mini or 6 inch. Lots of food. Oyster is market price, so can be pricey. Great breading on the oyster
- Find. Eat. Drink.July 5, 2011Chef Adolfo Garcia says, “get the chicken liver po-boy with coleslaw.” We also love the grilled shrimp, fried green tomatoes & remoulade. That’s chef Wicks’ grandmother delivering the po-boys from the
- Cameron GarrardMarch 22, 2015The service was great, and the Fried Shrimp Po'boy was delicious. With some background music, and TV's, Mahony's is a great place for lunch!
- Andy CampbellNovember 14, 2012Agree with previous posts on the Peacemaker on price. Pretty expensive but very good. I suggest putting a little Louisiana hot sauce on the sandwich. Adds the perfect missing component: heat!
- Will NSeptember 12, 2013Ask how much your "Market Price" item is going to be to avoid sticker shock. I spent $14.95 on Shrimp/Fried Green Tomato/Remoulade Poboy when trying to get a cheap lunch.
- Kimberly H.January 20, 2016Yummy po-boys, huge portions....outdoor seating....loaded fries/dirty fries...whatever they're called, they're awesome
- etta yApril 6, 2015Great sandwiches and crispy shoestring onion rings. Lots of cute browsing and shopping in the hood too.
- Lisa JettNovember 29, 2013In NY we call them "heroes" and they're usually heavy and filling. These po-boys were tasty and light and overpriced. Bloody Mary was good and spicy.
- Miranda McDonaldNovember 17, 2014The pig fries are delicious, and as much food as a poboy, if not more. The fried shrimp was good. It was a bit expensive.
- Anne FaderJune 2, 2012Yes it's pricy but the food is GOOD! Get a peacemaker, some fries and sweet tea. You won't have room for dessert but try if you can.
- Colleen Newvine TebeauApril 12, 2011The fried green tomato and shrimp remoulade po boy is amazing -- but don't do it if you're in a hurry. This isn't a rush in and rush out place.
- Gambit New OrleansOctober 24, 2012Try the chicken livers in a singularly rich po-boy dressed with slaw. Gambit's Five spots for fried chicken livers. Read more
- Maggie MacGSeptember 27, 2023The salad with the raisins is good but maybe get the dressing on the side.
- Jessica LlanesJune 17, 2010I do love the grilled shrimp and fried green tomato poboy here but recent long waits and decline in shrimp quality have demoted this one favorite to a rare choice for me. Too many other poboy places.
- PARANOLAJanuary 20, 2012Mahony’s is a popular place for the PARANOLA team to hang out and discuss ongoing investigations, paranormal theories... and eating some tremendous po-boys! Stop by, you could run into one of us!

- Cecily FogartyMay 17, 2010NOT a true po-boy shop. Shrimp po-boy is all wrong and I've been eating them for thirty years. Great shoestring onion rings, they are the only thing worth the very long wait.
- Elizabeth ThompsonOctober 5, 2013Awesome dirty fries. Share or order only this because they are big.
- Don't underestimate the size of these Po Boys. You'll have to be carted out if you finish the whole thing.
- Unfortunately mahony's has become too popular for its kitchen to keep up with. Bring a book. You'll be here awhile.
- Jeff WisemanDecember 28, 2011the onion rings are delicious, they are like shoestrings and wonderful!
- Doug OvervoldNovember 14, 2012Unbelievable Po'Boy. Pot Roast is the bomb. And dirty fries. Pretty fast got sandwich
- Mike MortonNovember 6, 2010The dirty fries are heavenly, and the po-boys are good, but there's just as good or better elsewhere in this town...and for less money too.
- Geoffrey GauchetJanuary 17, 2011Staff was great and polite. Food was awesome! Peacemaker was amazing, but expensive due to oysters
- Cherie FernonJune 13, 2016Besides the fried shrimp, the food was HORRIBLE! Po boys were dry and served on extremely stale French bread. Most of the food was burnt. No help from server. Spent $200+ but left hungry. NEVER AGAIN!
- The greatest Magazine poboy. You have to gave the grilled shrimp, fried green tomatoes, and roumelade poboy. It is a religious experience.
