Authentic Japanese mom & pop restaurant. The chef’s choice 18 pcs sashimi set is fresh delicious, comes w/ delicately flavored white miso soup. The steamed rice w/ 4 kinds of mushrooms setmeal also 👍

The Japanese curry is a must. A thick cutlet of breaded and fried pork sits in the center of the dish, submerged halfway in a smooth brown curry studded with minced beef and onions. Read more

Can’t rave enough how good Cocoro is! I come here at least 4x a month. My fave is the dinner sushi set B. Enjoyed with the sautéed lotus, fried oysters & agedashi tofu.😋

The eel combo is nice! Quiet atmosphere, not crowded. I like the takoyaki very much. A lot of options regarding small appetizers. Decent Japanese restaurant. Neighbor hidden gem.

Curry and ramen was blah. Was super excited to try since it is owned by Japanese... The apps were good though! The grilled tako and tofu :)

Miso Yasai Ramen: They are very generous with the toppings and add sesame seeds, which lend a nice nutty flavor to the mix.

This is its nabeyaki udon cocoro ramen [$16]. It was quite temperature hot. Besides, it was quite *good*. I should have sent Keizo here.

Get authentic japanese entrée dish such as udon and donkatsu; they're GREAT. But, I'd say you can find better sushi/rolls elsewhere.

Very bad relative to all the other options in river north. Ramen was alright, everything else including appetizers and sushi sucked.
