- Nick CampionJanuary 17, 2015One of the best sushi places I've been to. The experience is sitting at the bar, ordering Mike's Special and feeding Mike Miller Lites all night. It's not cheap but worth it. Ask for the fish n chips!
- Rev. BillyMarch 15, 2015Well... EVERYTHING IS AMAZING! Mike is an amazing culinary treasure as well as an amazing host even behind the bar. You're missing out if you haven't been here. YOU MUST GO, I INSIST!
- AFAR MediaAugust 4, 2014The sushi chefs are personable, they drink beer that you bring them, and every single thing on the menu can be customized to your exact desire. In short, it's absolutely perfect. Read more
- Jessica DuBoisOctober 12, 2019Everything is good here. Start with the fish and chips and edamame. You won’t be sorry. Then, tell them what you like or don’t like and then just trust. You will be thrilled.
- Tina CMarch 25, 2010This has GOT to be the best sushi in the city. Tell Sushi Mike what you like (or don't like) and he'll give you sushi you've never had before and won't get anywhere else. BYOB and always super fresh
- Raed MansourSeptember 30, 2011Sushi Mike is a rock star and drinks like one! BYOB and be prepared to share some with Sushi Mike. Sushi is one of the best in the city.
- anna hongNovember 16, 2014Omakase sushi-let sushi mike decide for you, it's worth the wait, when it's busy, byob.he likes miller lite, bring him a 6 pack
- Jessica DuBoisJune 25, 2017Everything is great! Start with the fish & chips then let tanoshi mike surprise you from there.
- My favorite sushi in Chicago for years. Skip the menu, order a Mike's special or four. Fish & chips is always a good starter. Bring a libation donation for the chef!
- Kaitlin CSeptember 16, 2012Awesome sushi-you tell them what you like and they make custom rolls...delish
- The "Mike's Special" are improvised after you tell the chef what you like. Definitely sit at the bar and get some (you may need a reservation.) Anything with fresh wasabi sauce is excellent!
- Lily KimJanuary 7, 2013Ehhh. Wasn't the greatest. I wanted some soft shell crab peaking out of this roll. Also, they should have split it up. The shape of it is a bit daunting...
- Jennifer MulvihillAugust 14, 2013Sit at the sushi bar and don't order off of the menu. You won't be disappointed!
- Always trust Sushi mike to make the best rolls in town, but ask for the Italian,
- Mimi ChanelApril 28, 2013The menu is not great for selecting roll so come knowledgeable they will make for you. Appetizers very small. Very Pricey here!
- Ed MadrigalJune 16, 2010Want to have share a drink with Sushi Mike, and have one of his creative maki rolls. I have a bottle of makers mark with you name on it. Kampai! Read more
- Want spice and flavor like no other sushi roll you've ever had? Try the Kamakazi!
- Want spice and flavor you've never experienced with.sushi.before? Go for the Kamakazi roll
- Riley YorkFebruary 5, 2013Yuck. This is a place for people that don't have the brains to pick their own food. Chef creates maki based on your choices but you don't always end up with what you want. Not good !
- Peter HunnerNovember 27, 2011Best sushi in Chicago. Just tell Mike what you like and let him do his thing.
- Sonja RusnakJuly 31, 2013Food was good. Service definitely let something to be desired. Atmosphere and music didn't match.
- Kerry NevelJuly 16, 2013Not impressed. No, Chef Mike did not make me something, but there were two other chefs; that should make up fore the one Chef Mike, right? Overall, it's no big deal. I'll be going back to Agame.
- Daisy De La CruzOctober 25, 2010Don't put soy sauce on any of the dishes served & always trust Sushi Mike!!
- Soft shell crab hand roll... 3 words: TO. DIE. FOR.
- Don't bother with the menu. Fish and Chips for appitizer, and then Chief's Specials. And NO FUCKING SOY SAUCE. Mike will throw your bitch ass out!
- Angel YsaguirreMay 29, 2010For sushi traditionalist, this is not the place to eat. The sushi chef, Mike, who customers think is a god, makes syrupy sweet sauces for all of the rolls. They're disgusting. The nigiri is better.
