Uygur and Uzbek food done well! Their steg lagmon spaghetti was perfectly seasoned. The steamed bread dough with lamb was fresh and flavorful. The french fries were great- freshly cut and seasoned.

I enjoyed Manti, (wet) Gyuro Laghman, and Shashlik on my first visit (dinner) and the Fried Lagman and Chak Chak for lunch on my second visit. This restaurant brings me back to the cafes of Bishkek.

Café Kashkar might be the best Uighur cuisine in the borough. Be sure to try the fried lagman: thick wheat noodles interlaced with onion and peppers and topped with a fried egg.

The lamb shish kebabs are divine. The carrot salad, manti and lagman are also awesome. This is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC :)

Look past the shabby décor and dive into a delicious assortment of Kababs, the lamb was succulent. Try the Laghman noodles and the Carrot Salad. BYOB.
