- ZhannaOctober 19, 2017Nice place, the ramen 🍜 is to die for. Worth visiting to try it - take big portion. The curry is average.
- Timothy HongOctober 3, 2016Ramen comes in 3 sizes - I got the Hakata and it was awesome! Not too salty like a lot of other ramen places. Definitely try the tuna carpaccio and fried chicken (not labeled karaage on the menu).
- Curateur MagazineFebruary 20, 2013Great late night stop if not in the mood 4 Mex rolled tacos. 3 different sizes, authentic ramen will make your belly full & warm. Get there BEFORE midnight. They will close doors if too slammed.
- Michael CabotJune 25, 2022Very traditional Japanese food. The hokke or Alta mackerel were on point. The karaage where a bit strange. The agedashi tofu was also authentic.
- Kyle MaceyDecember 16, 2017Have an Asahi beer and a bowl of ramen in this authentic Japanese restaurant. Everything we had was delicious.
- Kimberly QOctober 29, 2014The hakata ramen is a must try. The broth is so amazing it almost brought me to tears when I first tasted it. Chicken karaage is pretty bomb here too!
- Fon TaboApril 4, 2012ramen can come in small or regular size. Come with a friend and try some of their side dishes like ankimo, jellyfish, steak tofu (black pepper sauce on tofu) and a side of Asahi beer!
- Get the eggplant appetizer; it's small, but so delicious. Also, the Katsu-don is made perfectly. Don't get the bento box with the mackerel - it takes a loooooooong time.
- Ti WuSeptember 19, 2016Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen: good broth(+), noodle is soft and thin, chashu is not fat(-), but I like fried garlic. Chicken karaage is juicy(+). Don't order sushi nor ochazuke, totally not authentic (-).
- Ron VerhoornFebruary 3, 2014Takoyaki is best in town! Just be careful it is skin burning hot! Watch out! Always a good time! Ramen is spectacular!
- The best & most authentic Hakata ramen & tonkatsu curry in San Diego! Definitely a gem.

- Pei 👻 WenJune 7, 2016I would skip the ramen. Instead, order a bunch of small bites to share with your friends!
- Cynthia Del RosarioJanuary 9, 2010Fresh sushi but it's pricey. I would love to splurge at this place. This is the only sushi place that I know of to carry DARK Japanese beer and it's very good!
- Favorites: Veggie Green Gyoza & Tofu in Black Pepper Sauce. Sushi-eating friends swear by San Diego Dream roll.
- Best Japanese restaurant in San Diego. Not sushi, but Japanese food.
- Love the Shoyu Ramen! The Hakata Tonkotso Ramen is good too!
- Arrive after 9pm, order Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen and enjoy! (Open 'til 1am)
