- James FergusonJune 21, 2021Great for special occasions with spectacular views of the harbour bridge and opera house. Done outside for the best views. Highly recommend the pork belly. Try their paired wines for dessert too!
- Ted BarreraMarch 19, 2014Scallops, crab cake with maybe the best prawn I've had in Sydney thus far, tenderloin for mains, and the lemon curd pannacotta as the coup de grace. Excellent restaurant.
- Catherine KlafferMay 11, 2023Cafe Sydney is the quintessential, humble yet fabulous rooftop dining delight. Book ahead (a month or two) for a terrace table. Culinary experts. It’s fun watching the chefs @ work in the galley
- Scott HargrovesApril 19, 2015Have to admit - I wouldn't normally pick this type of place to eat - but damn they do an unreal steak. Also, take a special friend there and woo them with the views of the most famous vista in Sydney.
- Reg LMay 18, 2013Watch the sun set over Sydney Harbour on the balcony. The goat cheese and beetroot tart entrée and fried banana peanut brittle dessert is fantastic.
- Monica HAugust 30, 2014Views are amazing. Salted caramel martini is AMAZING. Don't be suckered in the foie gras tortellini though, its not that great. Not a bad place to eat for a special night
- Sneak ThiefJanuary 30, 20139/10 experience. Great view, excellent food and wine (tappanappa tiers Chardonnay is the one we got, $200 approx. very good!!!) the only thing from it not being 10/10 was the service...!
- PWNovember 13, 2014Beef wagyu carpaccio was beautiful. Views are great no Matter if you are seated inside or out. Save some for desserts
- Very impressive views of the harbor and coat hanger. Very pricey but worth it as the food is outstanding. I ordered the steak. So much good.
- Elliot ChanceMay 14, 2015Come early for your dinner reservation and have a few cocktails. Or just come for the cocktails. The food is awesome but it's not cheap.
- Say Yie TanJune 16, 2014Beef tenderloin, barramundi, sydney rock oyster, seared scallop, double chocolate & lemon pudding. Every dish tastes perfect and the view is amazing ♡
- Lauren MelcherJuly 12, 2016Try the tandoor salmon - pickled cucumbers, coriander and raita make it a fantastic main with lots of flavor
- Andrea CAugust 7, 2014Amazing view with great Australian centric dishes. Book ahead to request a great outdoor table for the best view at sunset.
- Stephanie SngSeptember 30, 2014Fantastic pork belly! Unfortunately understaffed when we went so the service wasn't great. My mum found a rubber band in her veggies and they only offered to replace her dish. No other compensation...
- Kate DuffyAugust 25, 2013Great spot to celebrate a special occassion. The swordfish main is incredible and any prawn dish is generally fabulous.
- The view. The service. The cocktails and wine list. The beetroot and goats cheese tart is undeniable.
- Mel McFebruary 1, 2014Very popular cafe with a view over Circular Quay. If you are not a local, try using your hotel concierge to reserve you a table
- Dimitris VerverellisSeptember 29, 2014What a place! Amazing view and atmosphere! Food is great and service is excellent!
- Lori ScintoMarch 18, 2013Very good but small food. Vegan menu is nice but lame dessert offering. Surely they could have gotten more creative than fresh fruit & sorbet.
- Emad AltyarMarch 6, 2014Outstanding food, amazing atmosphere and great service! the view is just priceless..
- RenatinhoDecember 13, 2013The rib-eye special is unbelievably awesome! 450 grams of tenderness and juicy.
- Mary DrobotMay 9, 2015The view is great, especially if you book in advance. The food didn't leave as much of an impression, while the service felt quite officious.
- James LawsonAugust 21, 2014Beautiful food. Great service & good wine recommendations. Try the steak.
- Undiewarehouse UWHOctober 7, 2011Make sure u eat the steak rare!! It melts in ur mouth!! And gnocchi is just to die for!!
- VeeveeviiviiOctober 12, 2013Cocktails good but you're only really here for the location. Food is average and poor value. Most of staff look depressed/angry. There are better views than this of Syd Habour (minus motorway too).
- Peter MycockAugust 22, 2010great food. make sure you remind them about your table otherwise you will be slammed and a few hundred dollars ligher in the bar
- Glen McFarlaneSeptember 14, 2011You need plenty of time to eat here. No quick lunches. Give yourself at least 1.5 hours.
- Xen LateganJuly 29, 2013Waiters frantically try to upsell. Very manky. Otherwise food great and view good
- Isis DaltonSeptember 29, 2010Jew fish is to die for. Highly recommend the desert platter also. View is incredible, service could be improved.
- Czar TFebruary 28, 2014I'm glad we were ignored by the wait staff, because ECQ has better cocktails.
- John Barry SalesOctober 10, 2011Our GM, Andrew Neilson rates Cafe Sydney as one of his favourite places thanks to the view and the food.
