- Jennifer VogtMarch 19, 2013Best BBQ in Memphis if you ask me...... The whole menu is amazing and there coconut pie is the best I've ever had. Every time I'm in Memphis I come here twice!
- Katie RedmondJune 14, 2014The pig sticks (battered sweet potato fries topped with cinnamon with a Carolina BBQ sauce) are to die for. Kristen (sp?) was a wonderful waitress. She served our party of 12 happily and with ease.
- Aims F.November 23, 2014Probably the best Memphis BBQ I have ever had in my life. We had take out. The Cole Slaw is amazing. The baked beans suburb. Pork Shoulder Salad sandwhichs and Potato Salad are also wins.
- Jacque POctober 1, 2014My boyfriend loves this place! He grew up next door in his dad's law office and would stop by for food often. The staff still recognizes him! Good cooking and soulful staff make the commissary awesome
- Paul LuningApril 23, 2019BBQ pork was great excellent. Brisket was good. Leave room for banana pudding, our favorite in Memphis. No draft beer, but good local beer in cans.
- Greg HarrisDecember 31, 2015I start with cheese plate and finish it with ribs! But it all good! Get my coconut pie to go!
- Fodor's TravelJuly 12, 2018The rest of the week, their pork tamales shine as the best-kept secret on this saucy menu, and their banana pudding is worth the trip alone. Read more
- S.D. HughesSeptember 9, 2021Arguably the best BBQ joint in the Memphis area—certainly top 5. Pork BBQ sandwich, potato salad, beans, banana pudding all exceptional.
- Samuel AndereckSeptember 24, 2014This is the real stuff...the barbecue nachos are the best I have ever had. Make sure you add a few jalapeños if you're into to that kind of thing.
- Brooke BMarch 7, 2012Very yummy BBQ but the parking not so great. Just know you'll probably have to park at the church across the st. pulled pork sandwich was awesome plus the cole slaw is awesome.
- M JordanJanuary 9, 2013Everything is so delicious here you'll want to try a combo! Unfortunately, you won't be able to eat it all! It's delicious!!!
- JuandaleJuly 14, 2014Can't go wrong with the BBQ potato. Make sure you ask for Darlene!!! She looks mean, but sweet as the cake they serve. Lol!!!
- David G. Thrush Jr.September 10, 2013This place is awesome not a bad thing on the menu. Prices are good and not commercial like Corey's. when u walk in the door ur hungry from the smell of smoked BBQ
- Allen ArcadeDecember 18, 2010If this is your 1st time, order something with the ribs or pork shoulder. THEN, venture out and try other things. Great deviled eggs and BBQ sauce. The turkey sandwich is amazing. Avoid the sausage
- Brad HitchcockMay 24, 2016It's all soo good. BBQ nachos, BBQ potato, pulled pork, Brunswick stew. :-)
- Traci TesterNovember 18, 2016The BBQ is awesome! Love the servers too! Can't wait to comeback to Memphis to eat here again.

- Rodney BlackwellAugust 16, 2014Had a full slab, slaw, beans and a slice of lemon meringue pie. Service was FAST. Really good.
- Leora WoodrowJune 18, 2017I had the BBQ turkey sandwich that was good but the waitress was very stressed I think. This place also supposedly has good tamales but they were just OK... the meat inside was like Taco Bell beef.
- Roxane ChaseJanuary 7, 2017I had the sausage and hubby had the pulled pork. Great food. Must have the coconut pie.
- Dave SmithJuly 31, 2011This is real BBQ, not "tourist" BBQ! The BBQ is fabulous. And here's the secret... save room because the pie is amazing too.
- Sharbour RayNovember 30, 2018Just across the train track! Small restaurant but big bold flavors in their BBQ!
- Heather StepniewskiMay 11, 2013Do not skip the homemade pie! Q was delish. Try the black pepper BBQ sauce in the red squeeze bottle.

- Jeff SolomonApril 29, 2012Stick to the food on the upper left hand corner of the menu. BBQ shoulder was great!
- BBQ Turkey?? OH YES!! Try it, you won't be disappointed
- Christy SagerFebruary 25, 2015I felt like it didn't live up to the hype :/ I was kind of disappointed, although, the bbq sandwich looked great. If I go back I'll get that instead of ribs.
- MikeJuly 4, 2018Worst BBQ in Memphis, maybe the worst anywhere. Ribs were severely undercooked, covered in grease, and were so tough I couldn't cut them with a knife. Chopped pork came mostly pulled and was dry.
- Service here has gotten a LOT slower since they switched from pay-up-front to pay your server.
- Get the Brunswick Stew - the only authentic Brunswick Stew in Memphis. But their's is with BBQ instead of rabbit. It's some kind of good.
- Laura YearightFebruary 22, 2015Deviled eggs are good, The ribs were greasy. The pulled pork sandwich was just ok. banana pudding and the cheesecake both bad.
- The Swedish ChefFebruary 18, 2016This is the "real" place to get BBQ. Close your eyes, point, and order.
- VonettaDecember 29, 2012Phone staff rushed me to order! Kept saying "Is that all", wait until I tell you that'll be all!
- Ron JeramiahJune 7, 2017Visiting from TX...BBQ was ok fam. Ribs were a bit dry, pulled pork was decent. Cole slaw was good...overall, not as good as advertised for me being a TX BBQ guy 😐
