    Beef Soba Salad is amazing. Soba noodles dressed with greens, a light sesame dressing and strips of rare prime rib. Lunch special comes with edamame and shrimp dumplings!

    Order the soba. Any soba. All soba. You will not be disappointed. Kame nanban (hot soba in daichi with duck) is unreal.

    It was okay. Service was good. I left hungry, which never happens. I ordered salmon (7 out of 10) and mozzarella (0 out of 10) as app, sushi entree (8 out of 10) and vanilla ice cream (8 out of 10).

    Been here 50+ times
    NYC’s original soba restaurant. Buckwheat comes straight from their own farm in Canada. Soba salads are great for lunch!

    Created Negimaki in 1963. After a NY Times critic said a Japanese restaurant had to serve beef in NY, chef Nobuyoshi Kuraoka wrapped it around scallions with soy sauce.

    Look fir mr. makoshi, he will take care of you. Also try the sukyaki and ask to be cooked at.the table. The cooking is an experience alone
