Espresso station just inside moor st station serves up one of the best coffees in birmingham. The staff are excellent baristas. Much better than the high st brands and friendly efficient service

Say hello to the florist who works inside the station. He's the nicest guy in the world and will give you the best bunch of flowers for a great price :)

The self service ticket machine current accepts exact change or your card! Type in to search for your destination station (if not on the list). Ticket pops out in the area at the bottom!

Mainly served by Children railway. Connection to London is about 2 hours. 30 minutes more than Virgin however offers a lot more comfort on the train. Recommend.

A handy station for visiting Solihull but the signposting from New Street could be better. Sometimes has a steam engine on one of the platforms.

The getting here is good - Chiltern Railways offers better seats and free wifi for a peak time fare a fraction of Virgin's.

My favourite Birmingham station by far. The Chiltern route to London is very cheap and their trains are a cut above.

Check the QRpedia QR codes at Centenary Cafe - they link to Wikipedia articles about the station's history. Their coffee's good, too!

Listen out for the worrying announcements ... Like the next train on platform 1 is LIKELY to be for Dorridge.

Quickest way to new street is to exit the station and head left. Then follow the road under the bullring. When you exit the tunnel, it'll be directly in front of you. Should take 5 minutes or so

The ticket staff here all use tiny sharks as footrests. Don't ask them about it though, they'll only deny it.
