- Duck ragu is amazing but don't overlook the basics either, the spaghetti bolognese is great, just what you need on a winter's night
- Johanan OttensooserSeptember 30, 2013Yummy Italian food and a good atmosphere. Regretting not having had the duck ragu, but the gnocchi was delicious too! And the desert mascarpone, yum!!
- One of the best spaghetti carbonara a I ever had. Perfectly cooked al dente pasta. And the duck ragu is frealicious
- Matt GierhartJuly 20, 2012best duck pasta with fresh pasta and duck meat chunks, also helps when it's cooked in duck fat, their panna cotta is also great.
- you can't beat the pappardelle with duck ragu or their spaghetti carbonara. if it's busy, pop across the road to the pub or down the street to fico (their wine bar) for a drink..it's worth the wait
- Alberto SbaboJanuary 19, 2010I had duck pappardelle...yummy! Awesome customer service...Just in case you have to wait, you can have an appetizer at the linked local, drink a glass of wine and bring your bottle to Baretto!
- One of my absolute favourites! BYO and cash only. Order the beef lasagna or the duck ragu. Yum!!
- George WestcottFebruary 29, 2016Finally got my timing to get in. Great restaurant, really enjoyed it. Maybe a little over rated.
- Thomas SchoeneichJanuary 14, 2011Spaghetti Carbonara is really, really good but if you wanna try something different go for the risotto with pesto
- Must must must try penne carbonara here... Done the traditional way, no cream, just olive oil, egg, bacon & herbs.. unbelievably good & very cheap
- Duck ragu, spaghetti carbonara, bolognese, tiramisu. Everything is deeeeelish!
- Best arrabiata in Sydney. The duck ragu is perfect for a winter lunch - just get there early cause it goes quick.
- Never had anything bad here...love going to pick up my take-away & watching the faces of the jealous tourists to the area!!!
- Spaghetti Carbonara is not as good as it was. Made with beacon now instead of pancetta. Was also rather dry. Garlic bread was not much more than a slice of toast with a touch of olive oil.
- RosieNovember 19, 2016One of the worst meals I've ever had in Sydney. Il baretto used to be incredible but not anymore! Really average service to go with a massively disappointing meal
- Magda WalczakNovember 29, 2009The duck parppadelle is awesome as is penne arrabiata. If you have gnocchi, don't have it with bolognese sauce. Read more
- Lance RichardsonJuly 17, 2010Lunch paninis are a miss. The pasta is good, but there's no way this is the best in Sydney.
