Check out the upstairs bar. Downstairs has dj in the pub area (good, not too loud). You might miss the up upstairs area. Quiet old timey bar with traditional classic paintings of old Scotland.

Your standard Taylor Walker chain pub. Cosy and efficient with a standard menu. Not cheap but it is handy for a quick drink and fast food

Great food available - better fare than most pubs on the Grassmarket. Order their special burger - topped with onion rings, bacon and lots of cheese.

Don't ask for Jagerbombs, don't spill on the bar, don't sit beside the toilets & don't ask for a replacement pint - you'll be made to pay for both, even if you don't drink the dodgy one!
