- Alex KimSeptember 24, 2014Great Ethiopian spot with a great vibe. The staff is very friendly as many Ethiopian restaurants need to be to explain such a culturally unique dining experience. Get comfortable with your hands.
- tonaka dianeNovember 18, 2013@Enssaro, I have tried many of the Ethiopian options in the area and this one is my absolute favorite. The staff are all beautiful and friendly and the honey wine is to die for!!
- Anna LouMay 7, 2017Get the combo deal! $40 for 2 people - appetizer, 2 mains and 2 drinks (including wine/beer)! The steamed milk with cinnamon and honey was so good!
- With a party of 2-3, share the meat combo and veggie convo. Injera has a nice texture and somewhat light sour taste. The food is great.
- Alex DobyanOctober 7, 2017Not a world-beater in the Ethiopian category (isn't one's first Ethiopian meal always the best, when you are opened up to a new world of flavors?), but I really was a fan of the meat sampler here.
- Crystal ConnDecember 31, 2014The veggie platter and meat platter! Try 6 meals for two people as a great Ethiopian samples :)
- Mars BarAugust 14, 2021They recently reopened and the space looks great! Try the tibs or the kitfo and don’t forget to grab a bottle of honey wine
- Athonia CappelliJuly 23, 2017Order vegan version of Shiro and the vegan sampler platter. Ask for their 🌶 spicy red hot sauce to kick it up one more level, BAE
- Everything is wonderful; their veggie combo sampler is great, their lamb stew is great. Their drinks are surprisingly delicious too.
- In the last year, they moved across the street from their previous location and increased in size; make sure you go to the right storefront. They're still amazing.
- squeaselOctober 8, 2014Tasty meal, lots of flavor. I always like kitfo, but the other stuff was good too, including the injera salad, which I'd not tried before.
- Emily JordanJanuary 10, 2015The Tibs are amazeballs! So is the vege platter Intimate atmosphere, Ethiopian music... Nice little spot.
- Brian StraussJanuary 11, 2018Super tasty, super filling! I’m not vegetarian but the veggie combo is my favorite.
- Rachel SánchezJuly 19, 2016Everything is good. One of my favorite Ethiopian restaurants in the Bay Area.
- Tanya LeakeApril 27, 2012Best Ethiopian in the East Bay! Veggie platter with extra greens and shiro!
- Matty DaddyMarch 8, 2012If you are fan of imported beers, try the Harrar! It's very light, crisp and refreshing.
- My favorites: Ye Beg Tibs, Messer Wot, and the special Kitfo!
- danzrrJanuary 28, 2013I thought the Meser Wot would be just as spicy hot as Addis or Moya's version, but here was surprisingly mild.
- Best Ethiopian food I've ever had! Get the veggie platter with shirro.
- Richard WongJune 21, 2014The flavor palate wasn't my cup of tea but a very unique dining experience. There are no utensils.
- If you're gluten-free, call 24 hours ahead and they'll do your injera sans wheat!
- Get the lentil sambusas and the veggie platter with vegetarian shurro. YUM.
- Erin KadelJanuary 21, 2014Food is delicious but service is extremely slow. Don't dine here if you are in a hurry.
- Déborah RodriguesMay 20, 2018Nunca tinha comido comida da Etiópia e gostei muito. A porção é bem grande e tem várias opções para vegetarianos. Recomendo pedir o prato que tem um pouco de cada, pra provar de tudo.
