- JeffJune 16, 2023Everything. The risotto. The chicken parm. The braised chicken. The fresh pasta. The bread and pesto when you first sit down. This place is incredible. It's a must stop every time in in town for work.
- Megan OutlyAugust 8, 2014They serve the best pesto I've ever had, along with some fresh bread to start. The portions are large, so it's great for sharing (or leftovers)!
- The basil malfatti is a great appetizer! The fish special is always something tasty and special!
- BYO. And grab an extra bottle because you're probably going to wait awhile for a table. But ask that nice hostess over there - she'll open your wine to help pass the time.
- One of the best spots in Needham. Cozy -- dim lights, funky toned down music, and (fake) candles :) get the Gouda cheese appetizer and homemade ravioli!
- Barbara CivillNovember 25, 2018The pesto they bring out with Italian bread as soon as you sit down was incredible! Also the rosemary chicken 😁
- Food and service were spectacular. Homemade pasta, shared appetizers as you wait and BYOB make this a popular favorite!!
- Dmitry NaymanApril 1, 2014It came as a surprise that this great place has "bring your own wine" police. So, come prepared and enjoy an awesome Italian cousin!
- Brian KernJanuary 28, 2012As good as the North End. Best calamari in town. Amazing pesto. Homemade pastas. Huge portions. BYOB. Need I say more? (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
- Incredible food!! Bring your own bottle of wine and be sure to bring cash. HUGE portions, but they make great leftovers. Strike up a conversation with their awesome staff
- Craig WexlerAugust 29, 2013Perhaps the best swordfish I've ever had, and I've had! Certainly the best yellow beans I've ever had.
- Michael ChaoJuly 26, 2015The sweet corn agnolotti reminded me of soggy cheese tortillas with a side of pico de gallo. Tomatoes did not taste pickled and the aioli was overpowered by the other ingredients.
- Mark BloomfieldFebruary 9, 2010Bring wine, cash (no cc) and an appetite. Sweet Basil is my favorite place - I eat here weekly when in town. They've really ruined me for other spots - I love the food and the staff.
- Tiffany DSeptember 23, 2012Portion sizes are huge. You can easily split an appetizer before your entree. Slow service, but worth the wait.
- Jennifer ScaliaMay 27, 2019LOVED the food. The ambiance threw me. I liked the food a lot. But for some reason I just don’t know that it will be on the list to return to.
- Amazing food here, got the portobella sandwich and it is amazing. Found out the hard way they only accept cash. This is now my out of Boston favorite place.
- Joshua EddyOctober 28, 2014Braised chicken with vinegar peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, and strozzapreti.
- Steve KauferSeptember 26, 2015I always order the seafood special. At least the past 10 times. Never steered me wrong.
- Wendy QiuJuly 26, 2015Mussels and clam chowder had good flavors but were extremely salty. Chicken parm was good.
- Maia BittnerFebruary 5, 2011This is my favorite restaurant in all of suburban boston. Baked brie is delicious.
- Kevin CuozzoMay 22, 2010By far one of my favorite restaurants on the planet! Pesto, pastas, and soups to die for!
