Always enjoying coming to London. Great airport and the people have always been friendly. Lounges are amazing...I recommend “Aspire - Lounge and Spa (Term 5)”. AMAZING food, open bar, and showers.
Use the underground walkway to stretch your legs after a long flight. The walkway between A, B and C is calm and nice and you can make quick progress if you use the horizontal escalators(?).
Every day at Heathrow 1,400 flights take off and land – one every 45 seconds and nearly half a million per year. You should use underground (Piccadilly Line) from here to city center.
2. Go to Huxleys which is on the left hand side after the security check, good beer and good food, for something under 10 pounds, you can get a very filling meal, avoid shops on the concourse level
One of, if not the best airport to travel to/from.Great transport (tube/bus/train/taxi), clean, comfortable, bright, spacious, good selection of food and shopping, very helpful friendly obliging staff
My favourite major airport in the world. It's super accessible, incredibly clean and beautifully architected. Though for most flights there's often huge amounts of walking involved.
Give enough time to make it to your gate... grab a meal at Wagamama (or anywhere else) before your flight if you can... BA is serving less food these days
Love this airport! On time flights and friendly staff. Tons of shops and restaurants. If you have a long layover it won't be a problem for you. Enjoy it!
When in Heathrow Terminal 5 choose the South GalleriesLounge, its nicer less crowded and bigger than the North, thanks to the Club employee insider tip
The best head out for waiting and connections flights on terminal 5, just next to gate A7 .. Great for kids with great seating for relaxation and power sockets 👍
If in Terminal 2 and especially when flying to Ireland - grab a seat in La Salle right next to the Aer Lingus Gate’s. Good beer and very good food - and they show most of the football
Amazing Historical City, traditional buildings, classical atmosphere everywhere! Enjoy the British heritage. BusTour is nice, London Eye, Undergrounds, Buses, Theatre, Fish & Chips, Hyde Park & a lot
Well. It's an airport. I'm at terminal 3 but have used others too. With all the waiting time these days because of security you couldn't really ask for a better airport in terms of having things to do
Easy to reach from Paddington railway station. Huge agora and shopping area. Very wellorganized. Friendly staff. Business lounge is perfect with excellent WiFi connection and broad choice of drinks.
You can take different Covid tests at the airport; Terminal 2 & 5 have testing facilities. Everything is clean and sanitized. Less seats available at gate but not many travelers anyway.
If you’re lucky, professional musicians may even set your meal’s mood. The London Philharmonic Orchestra has put on its far share of T5 concerts over the years. Read more
There is a new Pret a Manger at T5 departure. Try it out for the usual amazing sandwiches, coffee and all things fresh. Giraffe is also upstairs for that sumptuous hot meal
all liquids must fit in one plastic bag (vaseline, toothpaste, and eye cream are considered). vat refund was quick and easy. you must show the item and validate with customs. then travelex and mail
Terminal 2 is one of my fave terminals. Loads of retail, f&b and lounges. The check in experience can be a little painful since it’s self check in kiosks but all up still nice and convenient terminal
There are more hotels in this airport than in some cities! If flying in late, the Sofitel is a very nice place to stay and has an amazing breakfast buffet.
Always fly BA. Love T5. Great connections between T5 A, B, C. Just catch the train and it takes you to the long haul flights in a couple of min. Great restaurants and nice lounges.
There IS a Concorde here. I’ve seen it a few times (I call this aircraft “my true Love”). But you never know when you’re gonna see it, because of weather and approaches and runaways out of control.
Busy airport alright..but imho it's one of the least efficient for leaving the country. But coming out of it is relatively quick and keeps your heart healthy for the amount of walking you have to do.
Heathrow, despite its undeserved reputation, is a great airport, especially terminal 5. Good facilities, great for shopping and some of the fastest baggage handling in the world.
Check Google Maps before buying a Heathrow Express ticket. Taking the tube to Central London via Piccadilly can save you money and can be just as fast depending on your destination.
I’ve travelled quite a bit and been on many airports, but LHR is the best so far. Everything is so smooth and so well done, including connectivity with the city. It’s just awesome!
Just about perfect. It's huge, but everything works like a perfect machine. The lines at security checks can be a nightmare though so make sure you have time
Caffè Nero at ground floor is a must go. Quite place where charging your devices while enjoying a great coffee. Please notice that is locate before passing the security control.
Connected to the subway. You can easily ride toward london paddinton station and come back to the airport in an hour or two. If u have a 4 hrs stop over its way worth it to go hop the subway & explore
One of the best and busiest airport. More free duty shops for travellers to spend. Check out Dixon Travels for electronic and gadget. Hamleys and Harrods available here. Customs check a hassle
Virgin Atlantic staff is very helpful. Everything in shopping and eating is was WAAAAAY too expensive. I like the chairs with power sockets! Nice touch!
best airport in the world. even if you don't have status on airline -you can easily find fantastic dining options and shops galore. don't miss the ted baker in the corner next to zara! cheers.
One of the best airports in the world, without a doubt. Clean, spacious and relevantly efficient given it is one of the world’s busiest airports. Good shops and airport lounges.
I’ve been to many airports in around the world, and Heathrow is my least favorite. Security is an absolute nightmare, so if you are going to any other European country, best avoid Heathrow altogether.
so many memories, so many times being here. I love it!It's so big and you've got so many choices to buy anything! try duty&free for alcohol- cheap and great
So far all the different foods I have tried have been pretty good. This is my 5th layover here in the past few months. Really a decent airport to get around in. Follow the purple when in doubt.
London Heathrow serves over 200 destinations in more than 80 countries. Whether you're arriving, departing or connecting, you'll find everything on the website to make your journey through the airport easy and enjoyable.
