- Adam RobbinsNovember 6, 2016Don't fuck around, get the Fish & Chips — served with a pot of mushy peas smaller than the change you'll get out of a fiver for a flat pint at the bar. Where else you gonna go, The Duke? Please.
- Carl GriffinApril 29, 2016Prominent Thames side pub on the site of a former friary. Great food served everyday and complimented by good real ales.
- Christopher SandøyApril 21, 2015Somewhat hidden by the riverside, atmosphere was great. Had a pint outside during a lovely spring afternoon, and will definitely go back.
- Zeynep Ozturk OzyerDecember 9, 2017Best in summers with a great view to river with your drinks and friends.Upvoted 1 week ago
- Time Out LondonMarch 26, 2012A big, handsome boozer, The White Cross has large bay windows that offer none-closer views of the river. Crowds flock here in summer to bask on the waterfront with a cooling drink.
- Imogen CSeptember 30, 2018Had the chicken burger, proper chicken and chips, good size and tasty. Lovely chatty bar staff. Riverside
- Jessi @2feet1worldDecember 16, 2014Very mixed service - soup order took longer than roasts! But food was delicious, good atmosphere and amazing setting.
- Leslie Owusu-AppiahMarch 27, 2016Service is phenomenal (consistent in that respect). Clients were very jovial and we became no different. Great for dinner, drinks and pudding.
- very cozy place, it could become really crowded. food is great, but better to go early on sunday: at 13:30 they were out of roast 😖
- Plastic PigMay 6, 2015River adjacent pub. Very adjacent it turns out at high tide. BYOB means something different here. It stands for Bring Your Own Boat.
- Clark GilliesOctober 28, 2018Fantastic dog friendly riverside pub with out door seating. Good beer selection and tasty food.
- Lee HartJuly 16, 2018great pub, fantastic location right on the river, HUGE sandwiches great for a spot of lunch.
- Try the ribs...perfection! Huge portions, perfect view of the river but quite expensive!
- ChirstyMay 16, 2012At high tide you can get 'stuck in the pub' for a good hour or two until the water recedes, unless the guy is out with his row boat. Great excuse to get another round in...
- Plastic PigJune 8, 2012Fantastic food, decent selection of ales and a great view to boot. Perfect place to chill out on a Sunday evening!
- Roser BlascoOctober 5, 2013Look for high tide warnings at the front door. And if you get stuck in, they sometimes lend you wellies to get out.
- Claire AAugust 3, 2013Often seats upstairs when it's heaving outside and on the ground floor. Great food
- KimAugust 19, 2012Sunday chicken roast...it's edible, but steer clear of the stuffing ball...you could chip a tooth.
- SebAugust 26, 2017Great pub, terrible food! The burgers are awful. Come for the drinks, the garden and the view.
- Great place for a lazy lunch and beer overlooking the river...
- Great weekend sunshine pub. Awesome ales and pretty decent food.
- Edith HMay 16, 2014Definitely NOT notable value - £9.30 for a glass of Pimms!?! I would go somewhere else and nicer along the Thames @youngspub
- Seb BMay 16, 2014Avoid this place , slow service and too expensive when the sun is out: £9.30 for a pint of Pimm's
- They used to serve salad with fish and chips - oh dear :(
