Behrad EatsOctober 20, 2014Shamshiry is a long-standing Persian restaurant serving consistently good kabobs. I like to try various kabobs so I get a combination of kubideh, jujeh and barg kabobs. Don't forget to ask for tahdig!

AlharithOctober 18, 2019I ordered the chelo Kabob Shamshiry, its basically two dishes combined the Kubideh & the borg. I strongly recommend that you order the Chelo Kabob Kubideh as it was far better & tasted excellent.

AliMarch 10, 2013As authentic as it gets, with all the goods and bads! But the Sabzi is actual Persian vegetables, and the bread is real Noon. Barbecued tomato is very good. Kabobs are all authentic Persian kabob.
It is always crowded. And I don’t like the vibe and design at all. The food is ok with huge portions of rice! I recommend to share. Nothing to special or fancy. Ordinary meal with friends or family.

It's one of the best Persian restaurants in al DC, don't miss the Kabab Sultany.

The rice is amazing! I live in Richmond and I come to DC all the time just for Shamshiry. Wowwww the rice. Wow! Sorry, I can't stop thinking about the rice.

No NameJune 19, 2015Its way too heavy, so only go here if you intend on going into a coma right after. Chicken is good, heavy. Zereshk polo is good. Must eat with onions, and yoghurt with cucumber. Portions are gigantic.

I always craves their saffron ice cream😋😋😋😋😋😋😋 kebab is sooo goood and secret tip add butter w the rise 😉

Great Persian place I have going here for years. My only advice is the food is amazing when it's fresh, don't try to save for later, it loses it's flavor.
