- Jacklynn JarradJune 12, 2014Having been to both Cafe Beignet and Cafe Du Monde AND an "out of towner" I have to say Cafe Beignet definitely has better beignets! It's also a much quieter atmosphere, we were there at 10:45 am.
- Richard RevillaJuly 3, 2013Order then sit and they will bring it to you. The Beignets here are just as good or better than the Cafe du Monde but try both. Very nice music plays inside. Always a New Orleans must when I'm here.Upvoted Feb 13
- Racky RossJuly 25, 2015Skip Café du monde altogether and come here! Grab a few beignets and eat in the patio. It gets a bit crowded in the morning, but in the early afternoon is such a peaceful spot.
- Natalie BurnsJune 14, 2018Waaaaay better than Café du Monde. These beignets were bigger, fluffier and fresher. The setting - pictured - also much nicer.
- Ally KazmuchaApril 6, 2019Cafe du Monde is great, we thought this place was better. If you like beignets that are more crunchy/well done, you’ll like du Monde. If you like them more doughy and soft, this place is for you.
- Ignaura TejedaDecember 31, 2015I really enjoyed this place. It wasn't crowded at all. This was my first Beignet ever and I loved it. It was fluffy, crunchy and perfect. We had a great time.
- Chloe BetzenJune 6, 2014Such a cute place! Southern breakfast was really good. My mom loved her French toast (that doesn't happen often) we got beignets too. Bigger and lighter than Cafe du Mond.
- Majed AlashariMarch 8, 2020Beignets here is way better & delicious then Cafe du Monde. Their coffee is strong. Long queue but is move quickly. Sitting on the garden is nice.
- Vivian EOctober 21, 2016Beignets had a more thick and greasy crust than cafe du monde. The courtyard and live music at night was a lovely ambiance much preferred to the debauchery of bourbon street.
- Kevin SkobacJanuary 3, 2015Another one to try beside Cafe Du Monde. Bigger and doughier, and taste less fried. We liked them better.
- EdykatMay 21, 2018If you want to rest, relax and eat Beignets this is the best place to go,cafe is nice and clean and they serve one the best Beignets in NOLA
- Jo BNovember 6, 2016The line went down quickly, don't be put off. It's a little rough getting a seat as people grab tables before they've ordered. Coffee and beignets were AMAZING but the crawfish omelette disappointinG
- Elisa ReyesMarch 2, 2014This place is really cute but I think Cafe du Mond is better for beignets because they out more sugar. Although Cafe Beignet serves breakfast my breakfast sandwich on croissant was dripping grease
- Ryan AmbsMarch 20, 2015Other than the beignets the food was pretty mediocre but it's really the perfect spot to sit outside in the shade, have a coffee and listen to music on royal street. Good alternative to cafe du monde
- Becca StumpMarch 24, 2013Beignets here are 100x better than cafe du monde. So yummy. Get the frozen cafe at lait here- it is the best coffee drink I've ever had! And I'm a New Yorker.
- Jim SmithAugust 4, 2013As long as I get here by 8, it is one of my favorite places to have breakfast in NOLA. I like the beignets here the best and the staff is pretty nice.
- Anne BakerAugust 2, 2013Beautiful arched ceilings and old tile floors. Courtyard opens to the adjacent 8th District Police Station...don't steal any condiments!
- Lynsey DJune 5, 2014Best Beignet in town! The staff is friendly and the Cafe Au Lait is legit. I'll pick this over Cafe Du Monde every time.
- Jessica C.August 27, 2013Loved the beignets! Loved my iced café au lait! Wished it hadn't rained and I would have loved the outdoor seating area. Still loved the atmosphere.
- Leigh KeaveneyNovember 24, 2013Best beignets in New Orleans. This place trumps Du Monde. Cleaner and less crowded with exponentially better food and coffee.
- Greg StephensonMay 13, 2018Great cafe with good vibe. Outdoor seating is available. Can get busy but worth a stop for an iced coffee and pastry
- Yousuf AbedinNovember 3, 2013Its a must come place if you are in NOLA. They have the best coffee, which is perfect after a crazy night at bourbon.
- Jon ChenJuly 20, 2014Quirky and cute blonde cashier made me feel welcome after asking some dumb questions about the area. Didn't get her name, but you'd know it if you talked to her
- Jia O.May 24, 2016These beignets were lighter and fluffier than Café du Monde's, definitely a favorite
- SaraJune 25, 2012If you come to New Orleans you must try a beignet. Is also a quite and fresh place to listen to good jazz out of the Bourbon street's caotic night.
- Wassel MJanuary 15, 2018Beignet is as good if not better than Cafe du Monde, can get really hard to find a seat , breakfast sandwich are not the best coffee is good
- Lucille FisherDecember 23, 2013The best beignets I've had so far. And I've tried others including Cafe du Monde. Cafe Beignet's is the best.
- Reagan BarbosaMay 14, 2019The almond croissant and key lime pie tart are divine. I actually enjoyed them more than the beignets.
- I like the food and the fact you can get alcohol. Not to mention they've got great live music
- The beignets are the perfect blend of fluffy and doughy. Give some love to Sammy, the cat who watches over the premises.
- Kate ColtrinJuly 22, 2013Cute open door café! Great atmosphere with awesome beignet's. Perfect for an early morning.
- _May 14, 2015Beignet with a cafe au lait. Beignet was slightly undercooked and covered in so much powered sugar. Cafe du Monde is way better.
- Andrew MontgomeryOctober 20, 2016We got here early in the morning in late October. The beignets were good. The coffee was really bitter, too bitter. But the garden was nice.
- David BerkowitzMay 10, 2012Try the Beignets - It may be sacrilege to say it, but this version of the local #dessert or #breakfast is even better than Cafe Du Monde
- Lily DerellaMarch 20, 2016Charming spot with awesome beignets. Go here if you don't want to wait on the Cafe du Monde line!
- Elizabeth McAlisterApril 1, 2013Excellent service, beignets are just as good, if not better than Cafe Du Monde. Definitely less crowded. And slightly better music. ;)
- Adam SchraderAugust 8, 2014Had never had a beignet until then. There's something magical about having world-famous beignets at a small NOLA cafe in the rain listening to local jazz.
- Chow Down DetroitDecember 27, 2014They have a full menu with breakfast and sandwiches. Including good vegetarian selections.
- Lateria ClemmonsDecember 30, 2013Just happened to pass by this place & stopped in. Made it in just the nick of time they close at 5...beignets are ready & staff is great
- Gagan SinghMarch 16, 2015Best substitute for cafe monde. Nice garden setting when occasional street jazz bands playing.
- Jeannette L.June 26, 2015If you can't sit in, grab a few beignets and a coffee to go. They hold even if you are walking all over the Quarter.
- Alex RavenelOctober 4, 2015Beignets were delicious. Line moved pretty quickly. Keep an eye open for a seat.
- Katie McCrinkMarch 3, 2014Careful with the birds in the patio. I saw someone get pooped on. I recommend the beignets and the breakfast sandwich.
- Shelita McBrideJuly 8, 2019Delicious beignets and quick service. A cute cafe that has the feel of Paris
- Renai ColemanDecember 29, 2013The beignets are better than Cafe Dumonde and the staff are much more inviting!! The food is also delish!!
- Shannon LittleMarch 5, 2013Skip the lines at Cafe Du Monde and come here instead. The beignets are fantastic and the coffee is smooth. Charming atmosphere.
