Special occasion place. Food art. The sauces, salad, cheese plate, Pear tart, all heavenly. I can see why it comes up as a best restaurant in Milwaukee, especially if you lean toward seafood.

If you are a Milwaukee native or just visiting, you can't do better than Sanford. We have dined in every "big" city and Sanford is among the greats. Service is beyond excellent and the food excels.

The so called culinary capitol of the US (California) has made foie gras illegal. So come on over to Sanford in Milwaukee and enjoy their Squab and Foie Gras appetizer.

The emphasis for this menu always has been on seasonal ingredients and world flavors, and while it's refined, it can be downright playful.
