- Michael JacobJuly 10, 2017The decor, music, food, drinks and location and staff really lovely and helpful - Small suggestion to improve would be to have blankets for those sitting outside when its cooler /windy in the eveningUpvoted 1 week ago
- dyvroethSeptember 1, 2018Traditional pub. It's a bit pricey but offset by indoor views of the river and an outdoor (uncovered) seating area beside the Thames at Greenwich Reach. Good seafood and beer.
- Michael F. ForniSeptember 9, 2016Location awesome, excellent service and cooking technique over the standard. In my very case probably the meat wasn't the perfect cut for my Sunday Roast beef meat:it was unexpectedly not tender at all
- Cintia Montes AlvarezMay 14, 2019Really good place, especially when the weather is nice and you can sit outside, next to the river
- Catherine GouletMay 27, 2017Such a lovely pub. You can book the Georgian styled room upstairs for private events.
- Ant BarwickNovember 5, 2013Great traditional looking pub, right on the Thames with views of canary wharf and O2. The food looked amazing, gunna definitely give it a go
- HISTORY UKJanuary 17, 2011This is a great place to watch the Thames traffic move past, which is exactly what Charles Dickens and William Gladstone came here for. The current building dates from 1837.
- Byron WilkesOctober 25, 2022Best fish ‘n’ chips from my entire trip are here, wonderful views of London and the river.
- Martin TiedemannMay 23, 201221 October: Drink with Nelson on Trafalgar Day. Built the year Victoria came to the throne, the Tavern was once at the forefront of naval history, attracting high-profile visitors such as Gladstone.
- Great spot to people watch with a pint on a lazy Sunday afternoon!!!!!
- Good selection of Meantime beers, lots of Pimms and a great view!
- Since another management change the Traf has improved. The food remains average and the drinks expensive, but service better. That view is stunning though, and plenty of outdoor summer seating.
- The river view from inside is awesome. Always get a seat facing the bar to enjoy the splendid view.

- Greenwich TheatreSeptember 23, 2011Bar meals and a restaurant. Unbeatable river views and very high quality meals in the resturant
- Time Out LondonMarch 26, 2012This landmark boozer lapped by the Thames is not as historic as it seems – its impressive Georgian appearance is actually down to a 1968 makeover – but it still pulls in the tourists.
- Steve WhitingMarch 20, 2011A great pint ad a nice place to watch the river...will be back to try the food. Heard it's brilliant!
- Gul ArslanogluMay 8, 2016The manager gave me a lecture about what french fries is and what deep fried means
- Raj SamuelMay 16, 2011Another awesome summer weekend outdoor place. Try to get a seat by the windows! Read more
- gareth wongApril 6, 2011Gorgeous place for a relaxing lunch, recommended, esp. During off peak time..
- Don't bother. £4.25 for a pint? Cheaper in the City! Service is crap. Had to get up and go to the bar and get our own drinks, and we were sat in the restaurant with non-existent table service.
