- ЖечаMarch 4, 2013Combo platter of true sea food! So much food!!! Ate half of that..comes with one side - for ex. rice, potato etc. and soup or salad. I've tried crab She soup - yummy!
- Clayton PottsJune 11, 2020Charlestonians and locals leave this dining establishment for the tourists. We hope you enjoy it!
- Theresa - Olaes NoeJanuary 14, 2020The Salmon was small and the calamari I was disappointed in. Left a really bad after taste in my mouth. First time there & not in hurry to go back. They do have the 1st hush puppies I have ever liked.
- LaHonda WashingtonJune 28, 2020Locals/natives of Charleston don’t eat here. This is 100% a tourist/out of town visitor’s destination...and they can have it! 🤮
- Absolutely love the winter time all you can eat Crab Legs! Great place for fried seafood too. I'm a local and love it! Just because a place is busy is no reason to label them a tourist trap.
- Boris BozicJune 8, 2016We were made to feel very welcome. A mixup with our order was promptly fixed without fuss. The shrimp and grits was very good. The Amberjack was alright. The sides were flat and disappointing.
- Christina ChinJanuary 5, 2015Overhyped. I'm not sure why it's rated so well, salad was average and crabcakes were good but nuthin to rave home about, hushpuppies good but not my thing. Friendly place, but again, not a must visit.
- Sherri QuilterDecember 10, 2019Called today for reservations was told sis not need them. Traveled across town on bus to be told one hour wait. Would not have time to have dinner. Will never try to have dinner here again!!!
- Todd SmithOctober 4, 2021Yuck! Very much overrated tourist trap. Locals don’t eat here. There are much better options for seafood in this city and Hyman’s is not one of them!
- AbDecember 30, 2014Large portions of good seafood served by great, hospitable folks. Here's one of those situations where the service as often even better than the food. Worth the money. Best with friends or family
- Toacca RutherfordAugust 17, 2017Wadamalaw Delight, Carolina Delight great appetizers! You won't be disappointed if you like grits and cheese. Boom Boom Shrimp delicious. Fried and stuffed flounder worth it.
- Mike HelmaseJune 14, 2016The seafood may be ok, but it is over rated. The Aaron deli items need to be avoided. These are not the quality of a good deli experience.
- Great food, great service! I try to go there every time we make it down to Charleston. Talked with the owner while we were there. I recommend Hyman's to everyone who visits Charleston.
- Steffi GillJuly 6, 2012Call and ask how long the wait is. They'll tell you it's a half an hour. Get there and put your name in and they'll tell you it's an hour. Wait an hour and they'll tell you it's another half an hour.
- Tyler CrossJune 11, 2016Fried Green Tomatoes are awesome! Get the Two Combo it's worth the money you get a ton of good and can have it prepared the way you like it!

- Lori CoganSeptember 4, 2010Instead of waiting on the sidewalk for your table at Hyman's, grab a glass of wine and sip it on the sofa at the friendly Gaslight Wine and Art Gallery next door! Great folks.
- Merab FavoriteNovember 30, 2014Very, very touristy.... Any local would tell u to stay away. While the hush puppies were some of the best I've ever had.... The rest of the menu was not up to par. I won't be going back.

- Karen RamboJanuary 8, 2012This is the best seafood you are going to get in Charleston and the restaurant has a nice environment. Where your sicker for a chance to win a free meal!!

- Jeff CorderJuly 22, 2013Buffalo shrimp and buffalo oysters are great. Crab legs not so good but fried oysters and broiled scallops good. No beer on tap!

- Bonnie SmythJanuary 27, 2018Beware, this place is a tourist trap. Awesome service but the food is sub par.
- Kiley HensonJune 14, 2013So overrated! Was looking forward to trying but was disappointed.... Talaria was soggy, Mac and cheese was straight from a box and squash casserole was swimming in grease! It was just a let down
- Kathryn PhillipsJuly 1, 2015Everything was great. Hush puppies, crab and shrimp dip, captains platter, grouper, crab cakes
