- Linda AlexanderMay 1, 2014Fill your bowl. I did the fish, calamari, veggies & Indian coconut curry sauce. 3 spoonfuls is plenty. Put stick in for the Roti (Indian bread); delicious. Self-serve. Big eaters in this place.
- Tiffany ThomasAugust 28, 2016Love the options for fillings/toppings. The wait staff is very attentive and offer suggestions for first timers. The music is upbeat, but you can still hold a conversation.
- This is hands down the best place for groups that can't decide what to eat as you choose EVERYTHING you eat yourself. Great place for carnivores to try veggie meat: try the seiten with your dish.
- Full service at the bar & counter tops to minimize wait times. call before to make reservations for larger groups! Remember the blue stick for bread & white stick for food allergies & vegetarians!
- MsVioletMarch 13, 2013Amazing food! Outstanding service! You pick all the uncooked food you want, including your choice of sauces, and they stir-fry it for you. Especially get the roti bread. It's delicioso :)
- BaturalpApril 7, 2017Great Mongolian barbecue for lunch! Don't forget to get the bread with your bowl. Skip scallops and add lots of your favorite sauce.
- Jessica LakieDecember 4, 2014The food was great! It's been a very long since I've been here, and they did not do a very good job explaining how to create your bowl. I felt like a lost puppy
- DKH CreativeApril 16, 2011For a nominal fee, they'll let you load up and take home a bowl's worth of leftovers. They say there's no such thing as a free lunch, but this makes for a pretty cheap (and delicious) one.
- I sat overlooking the open kitchen and repeatedly watched staff touch raw meat then cooking utensils & refrigerator doors, all while a bucket of meat sat out for 30+ mins. Kinda of ruined it for me.
- Alfie MartinJanuary 31, 2023is having a red bowl of Thai Red Curry and a Edamame appetizer..... traditional lightly soybeans in the pod. #flattopgrill #restaurant

- They took the unlimited option away! Only 1 bowl is included in the price now. A second trip is an additional $4! It's not expensive but is still a let down.
- Josh Lue YenJuly 7, 2012Probably the best meal I've had in Chicago so far. Mix and match anything you want but don't forget to order the Pita bread. Will be back but this time for breakfast!

- C CAugust 18, 2012Don't pay for the edamame on the menu, just grab a small bowl and have some edamame from the serving line and add your own sauce!
- Melissa GeorgesMarch 22, 2015They changed. You have to wait for your server to give you a bowl and the meat. Then you can create your own.
- CaseyApril 29, 2012Good food, fun laid back atmoshphere. Be very careful when you choose sauces! Too many and the flavors become an indistinguishable slop!
