Great hotel if you still want the Disney experience and try to save money. The hotel is the cheaper one out of the three Disneyland resorthotels. It is also a short walk away from Downtown Disney.
If you have a view of the park, you can watch World of Color and get the music on a special TV station. However, you won't be able to see most of the show, so don't skip the real thing if you can!
When you come here.. Request a room above the 7th floor with a view to California Adventure. There if an amazing Water Show with lights and fire. Plus no crowds lol
If you're headed to the far end of Downtown Disney near the Disneyland Hotel, Trader Sams, ESPN zone or Earl of Sandwich, a slightly less magical shortcut is through the parking lot.
The park view rooms do NOT allow you to watch World of Color from your room. You're seeing it from behind, from too high, and from too far away. You can't see the projections. Not the same AT ALL!
Upgrading to the concierge package is worth it. Free breakfast, snacks and drinks throughout the day, wine & cheese at night, and DVD rentals for the room.
For those 21 and over you should consider a visit to Trader Sam's Tiki Bar in the middle Disneyland Hotel building. The souvenir mugs cost extra - order in plain glasses to save on luggage.
They tell you that someone will come in to yell for the departing bus so you should wait in the lobby, but it will be early and no one will say a thing. Be out front really early or risk missing it.
Elevators are hopeless - waited for 10 minutes trying to get to the ground, all the while hearing them whoosh by without stopping. Had to ride it up to go down...
