- Wes SchochetFebruary 21, 2015I've been spoiled all my life having great Deli right in St. Paul! You wouldn't think it was that hard, but it must be, because very few have tried, and only Cecil's and Crossroads have succeeded!
- The caraway rye is excellent here and it's a must have for making grilled Reubens at home. Corned beef sliced so thin that on windy days it can frequently be seen blowing over the nearby Ford bridge.
- Joanna FlammDecember 23, 2016Great deli with "to go" in front and table service in the back. Matzoh ball soup + half hot pastrami on rye was a perfect lunch.
- Karli ParkerAugust 15, 2013Leonard Da Vinci is the sandwich I think of when someone says "sandwich" or "giardinera" or "happiness". Everything is good here and you feel like family or at least neighbors.
- City PagesAugust 5, 2014When it comes to authentic deli fare, Cecil's is the place, from the potato latkes on the griddle to the celery soda in the refrigerator case. Read more
- Larry MackFebruary 18, 2019Fantastic place. Lean corn beef on dark rye. Last delicatessen in Minnesota. Reminded me of my Chicago days. A must place.
- Sandy UngerSeptember 28, 2018Cecil's Salad is the best. They also have the best Sweet and Sour Cabbage soup in town.
- The Reuben is probably the best in the Cities. The coleslaw is outstanding.
- Joe LunaOctober 16, 2012As a New Yorker, I gotta admit the pastrami sandwich here is as close as it gets (in MN) to a NY Jewish Deli
- Hamentashen is a must! Available year round. #hamentash
- Meghan McInernyAugust 3, 2013If you're in the mood for a hearty, basic breakfast the Heavenly Hash is...heavenly.
- The Monte Cohen and Cecil's salad are my family's favorites.
- I read the whole delicious menu, then order the latkes! Yummm
- Mabelyn ASeptember 17, 2010This is my very first stop when I come to Minnesota. The Sasha on a toasted kaiser roll is delish! Try the hammentashins.
- Heather KJune 15, 2011Best lean corned beef anywhere in the TC...no matter what sandwich you put it on.
- Russian Reuben is great, but misspelled on the menu as Russian EUBEN
- If beef isn't your thing, try the turkey pastrami. So good!
- sarah bowmanMarch 21, 2010Fantastic ruebens/rachels. Massive (yet cheap) milkshakes, which are also delicious.
- Sandy BFApril 4, 2010Order the Sasha with turkey pastrami - and go for it on a popover when they have them during Passover. Wow...
- Jonathan Kamin-AllenAugust 16, 2012loxburger. hate the name and its average in terms of coastal bagels and lox. still 10/10 for msp food.
- Kaeti HinckMarch 13, 2009Go during off hours, order a sandwich on caraway rye and talk with the staff.
