I've been spoiled all my life having great Deli right in St. Paul! You wouldn't think it was that hard, but it must be, because very few have tried, and only Cecil's and Crossroads have succeeded!

The caraway rye is excellent here and it's a must have for making grilled Reubens at home. Corned beef sliced so thin that on windy days it can frequently be seen blowing over the nearby Ford bridge.

Great deli with "to go" in front and table service in the back. Matzoh ball soup + half hot pastrami on rye was a perfect lunch.

Leonard Da Vinci is the sandwich I think of when someone says "sandwich" or "giardinera" or "happiness". Everything is good here and you feel like family or at least neighbors.

When it comes to authentic deli fare, Cecil's is the place, from the potato latkes on the griddle to the celery soda in the refrigerator case. Read more

As a New Yorker, I gotta admit the pastrami sandwich here is as close as it gets (in MN) to a NY Jewish Deli
