- Nick HsslgrvJuly 4, 2017The Barnacle is a no frills crab shack. Great views on the water, cold beer, and fantastic fresh shellfish. Sit on the porch and DO NOT order anything other than shellfish.
- The Landing has better food, but the Barnacle has better views, especially when there's a winter Nor'easter and you can stay cozy inside with chowder and a Harpoon, watching the waves.
- CailinJune 5, 2015Nice wine pours, beautiful views in a casual setting, and friendly/low key staff. Lobster bisque was a little watery, but hefty. Fried scallops were delicious, and a nice shareable size.
- Nick HsslgrvAugust 30, 2016Crab legs were an easy win. Chowder was mediocre. Sitting outside and viewing the harbor with some beer and oysters is the best thing about the place.
- Social News NetworkDecember 4, 2013Situated right on Marblehead harbor the Barnacle is by far one of the best places to catch the view in this beautiful seaside town. Grab some appetizers while you're there too.
- The Barnacle is awesome when a storm is rolling in and the waves crash over the front of the restaurant. Great view!
- William GeroncoAugust 22, 2015Great spot for a few drinks and a good meal. Great prices and service.
- Exceptional seafood, lobster bisque, and a great neighborhood bar.
- It's all good. 🦞 Just go, the place is a local institution.
- Bridget BarnesJuly 5, 2011Seafood platter... Unbelievable to split with a friend and have a drink after a day on the water :)
- Absolutely amazing place to relax and have a beer and dinner after work.
- Joey TrotzSeptember 6, 2009Sat outside overlooking Marblehead Harbor and had their oh-so-sweet fried clams - bellies included!
- Andreas KleinerJune 20, 2015$24 (market price) for a lobster roll wasn't great but "ok". Nothing special.
