Excellent food and friendly, local feel. Famous for their burger and mussels but I have never had a meal here that wasn't great. Craft cocktails and wine will also not disappoint.

I had the Mateo Burger which was very good. I was with 11 other people and I didn't hear any complaints about the food. Very friendly staff who attended to our every need.

Mateo Breakfast is a solid choice. Scramble. Bloody‘s are quite good. The coffee is good if you’re into super cocoa-y Lavazza. I’ve never had to wait to be seated. Do it.

They aren't on the menu but order their champagne frites. The sweet + salty combination is delicious. Almost melt in your mouth. They will make them for you. Also think best cheese plate in town!

The poulet frites are absolutely scrumdiddlyumptious! But seriously, the chicken is cooked to absolute perfection! Nomz all the way!

Make sure to order the risotto- our entire table agreed it is one of the best dishes they have had at a restaurant in years!

The nicoise salad is champion status. Great portion of tuna, Al dente veggies. Great with a crisp glass of white wine or rose.
