- Cheryl ChangAugust 20, 2013Gun-chan special is a must try (secret menu) ! This ramen comes in a package of chicken karaage, pork belly, roasted pork and marinated hard boiled egg simmered in spicy broth. *drool
- EiMa AJanuary 10, 2015One of our family's fave spots! Yummy noodles - great flavor and texture. Deluxe ramen, wonton, shio butter, pork fried rice- everything is delish! We CRAVE their chicken karaage...so freakin good!!
- All Ramens are great. Miso and ground pork with butter for rich. Shio ramen for light. I love the jazz decor and music - so awesome.
- Brian StraussJuly 24, 2015Yes the ramen is excellent. This may sound weird but get the spicy tuna roll as an appetizer. Crazy good with fresh lime, wasabi mayo, and sriracha -- It's not the usual bullshit.
- Tobias SchmidtMarch 19, 2017Ordered an extra egg with my shiro tantan men ramen. Shouldn't have. The portion was enormous! Rich, creamy broth, excellent stewed pork and eggs that were just a tad overcooked.
- Priscila de AlcântaraApril 9, 2017This place was a different experience for me. Nice music, friendly staff, fast service.I got the deluxe ramen and it was good but I guess I'm not a fond of ramen.
- Their Buta Kakuni is phenomenally seasoned and so tender. Much more flavorful than kakuni I've had at other places. I've heard some friends refer to it as "fatty goodness" and I agree.
- Bkwm JSeptember 15, 2013Asari Shio Ramen (baby clams in butter & Okinawa salt soup): love the clams + the tasty & rich soup but don't like the simple Chinese egg noodles (instead of regular ramen)
- Patrick WangAugust 13, 2014My favorite Ramen in the area. Soup is flavorful. Can get very busy but when you come when they just open it is a really relaxing environment.
- On hot summer days (or nights) I love to get their citrusy Hiyashi Chuuka and wash it down with cold barley tea. So refreshing yet filling...
- Tiffany LiuOctober 1, 2014If u like jazz and ramen, this is a must visit. Try scallop appetizer and tonkotsu ramen.
- Some of the best ramen I've ever had in the area. Tantanmen deluxe is huge and flavorful.
- Sherry RenFebruary 12, 2016It's not amazingly good the first bite but made me want to have gaedama when I finish. The asari one is good. The delux tonkotsu has lots of meat!
- Cool jazz and hot ramen always hits the spot! Try to avoid peak times if you don't want to wait.
- Dan Mondragón SomeraJune 3, 2018Not only the ramen is good but the other dishes as well (and kimchi) order wisely since they serve HUGE amounts
- Can't go wrong with the snow crab omelette ramen. (Yes, you heard right. Snow crab omelette ramen.)
- Shreyas SampatJuly 23, 2013We did takeout from here this time. They are very quick to prepare it; there was almost no waiting. Their noodles and toppings are quite nice. The broth is a little too sweet and greasy for my taste.
- Their Shiro Tan Tan Men is perfect--just enough spice to warm the mouth, and savory all the way.
- Shiro tan tan men deluxe is the ramen to get. Love it! Saki by the glass is also a nice touch.
- Agatha YuAugust 9, 2014The ramen and salad are delicious! almost like a fusion between Japanese and Cali-Mexican flavour
- William LinFebruary 17, 2011The ambiance is hip and comfortable. Brightly lit lamps fill the wooden table tops and floors with warmth. Cool jazz and ceiling fans ventilate the rectangular dining space.
- Arguably better than Ramen Dojo in its on way. Give the miso butter corn, or shiro tan tan men a shot!
- Paulo SantosAugust 18, 2015Pretty good bowl of spicy ramen, I was definitely surprised by how well cooked and flavorful it was.
- One of the best chicken karaage I've had... Ever in the world... Said someone who's eaten two plates before his ramen :)
- Must eats? Chicken karaage, shiro tan tan men deluxe, miso deluxe ramen, sesame spinach
- All of their ramen is great, you can't "choose wrong" here. For savory and spicy, Shiro Tan Tan Men Deluxe does not disappoint.
- SlayphanieSeptember 8, 2014I got the shio and honestly I've had better. It was just ok, not as rich as I'm use to having it. I will say, it's my first time having butter in my ramen and that was an experience.
- Timothy WFebruary 20, 2011Expect long line-ups as with other ramen stores. Good thing they also do take-out. I love the tonkatsu ramen.
- Brian AbadMarch 14, 2014Tan tan men deluxe is really hearty. Plenty of meat and really good. Good spice too
- JoAnne KaoFebruary 10, 2014Try the Deluxe Ramen (miso) steamed pork, egg with regular topping - Amazing
- Okinawa style Shio Ramen is yummy! This might be the only Ramen resta. that has this in the bay area?!
- Robert ShopshearOctober 20, 2012Try the Tan Tan Men Deluxe - I get it every time! Stewed pork, sliced pork, ground pork and goodness
- Sharon TsaoDecember 3, 2015The meat they use is very Chinese... doesn't feel that much like an authentic ramen place.
- mike tyauJuly 19, 2011If you really have an appetite, you can't go wrong with the Tonkotsu Deluxe, but be prepared to take a nap afterward!
- Tom TreanorNovember 17, 2012If you like some spice get the tan tan men ramen. Also the pork and kimchi is great
- Marvin Don't Panic.April 16, 2013Step 1: Order the pork fried rice for the kids. Pick out the pork and feed it to them younglings. Step 2: Watch the smiles and join in.
- joanneMarch 7, 2011i'd get the shio over the tonkatsu broth, though the roast pork is delicious. also, if you've had karaage elsewhere, don't bother with the version here.
- Shiro tan tan men deluxe is killer — just make sure you're cool with spicy food!
