Worth the wait!! I got the brisket and hubby got the ribs. Brisket was the best bbq I have ever had! Awesome! lOVE the applebbq sauce;) definite return trip planned
Best brisket I have had outside of Texas. Blackened catfish is great, so is the jambalaya, though they both lacked salt. I could eat the corn bread every day.
One of the best restaurants in Detroit. 2 entrees feed 3 people - pulled pork and brisket should be on your list. Same with mac n cheese and cornbread. Killer local draft selection too.
I've been 3 times to this place when I visited Detroit. They have a huge selection of draft beers! I would recommend St Louis Spareribs. Sandwiches were also good.
The legends are true. This place backs its massive reputation. Mac & cheese is a must. Definitely go splitsies on the platter meat orders. There is more than enough to share.
Baby back ribs, pulled pork, Mac and cheese and waffle fries. Mix the NC and apple sauce with your ribs. Best BBQ in Detroit! Be ready to wait about an hour to get a table, but it's worth it
All items are great, but if your first time. Don’t miss the ribs or the triple pork sandwich. Mac&cheese a side (very good also) bad thing that has no parking
Delicious sandwiches and beer. The baked beans are spicy and probably not what you're used to. We had the longhorn and the reason, both of which were delicious. Beer list is exemplary.
Try "The Reason," a pulled pork sandwich made to perfection, and don't forget to add some of their signature BBQ sauces to it. Try their spicy and apple sauces. They make a perfect sandwich perfecter.
I highly recommend the triple combination—some of the best brisket, pork, and chicken I’ve had in a long time. Definitely try the spicy and appleBBQ sauces.
When you go to Slows, you gotta be strategic. I went as a group of 3 and shared the pulled pork, brisket, and ribs with 6 sides. It was brilliant and everything was delicious. Get cornbread & brisket.
Fugetaboutit! It's always busy, don't be intimidated by the crowd or wait. They are fast and service is excellent. Seating at the bar is first come first serve and it's where I always sit. Mac n chees
Best Mac & Cheese I have ever had in my life. I would visit Detroit again just to taste that mac & cheese. The BBQ is excellent as well, and a very deep craft beer selection.
Beef Brisket and waffle fries were really good. Didn't care much for the Mac n cheese. Lots of beer options! Reasonably priced. Definitely want to come back.
Fantastic BBQ located down town Detroit by the old Tigers Stadium. You will absolutely love the food. They have an almost unmatched selection of imported beer from around the world too!
Surf and turf: blackened catfish and brisket, was the bomb. The mac and cheese tempted me and was happy to have caved to this carb-loaded demon. It was sooo good!
I was pleasantly surprised at how good Slow's was. Living in the south I cook and eat a lot of barbecue. We had the pulled pork sandwich. Good smoke and seasoning. Be prepared to wait!
“The "Hot Mess" was awesome. Homemade smoke dripping sauce off the charts. If you venture this way and like BBq, I reccomend.”- https://twitter.com/dan_dunleavy/status/1114323856339230722?s=21
Word of mouth has made Brian Perrone’s baked mac legendary. And even though it’s bursting with flavor, it’s made with only one type of cheese: cheddar. Read more
Ho-ly cow (or maybe pig?). This place lived up to the hype in my book. The Triple ThreatPork sandwich was AMAZING. I can't wait to return to Detroit just so I can come back for more Slows.
Long wait on Fridays after work but worth every minute.. Baby rack ribs and pulled pork combo are a must get! side with mac n' cheese and waffle fries. Good beer selection too.
The draft list here is awesome! I've tried the pulled pork and the 1/2 chicken and both were amazing! The best sides have to be the mac n cheese and the mashed sweet potatoes.
SO worth the wait! The YardbirdSandwich with appleBBQ sauce and a side of Mac n cheese is an amazing meal! They have great beers on tap and the Chuck Norris dessert is PHENOMENAL!!
The pulled pork sandwich (called "The Reason" here) has big chunks of tender meat. I couldn't find one sauce that I really loved, so be sure to test them all before sandwich use.
Come before 6:30 on a week night to sit right down with no wait. Afterwards go next door to The Sugar House for drinks. This will be the best night of your week.
I've been here a couple times and all their barbecue is amazing. I also recommend getting The Reason if you're looking for a great pulled pork sandwich
One of Detroit's most popular restaurants, serving excellent BBQ ribs and pork. Be ready to wait 2+ hours for a table or call Slows-To-Go in Midtown (877-569-7246).
don't come here if you are planning to be naked in the next decade. baby back ribs are incredible. mac and cheese and cornbread are everything you've dreamed
Some of the best BBQ in Detroit. Great team, and food. Just make sure to get there early, it gets a little crowded. Suggested: The Yardbird with a little NC Sauce
