- Peter RobinettDecember 23, 2015Like everyone said, the food options past security are depressing. If you've got time to kill, it may be worth springing for lounge access. Air France's has plenty of cheese and champagne.
- Patrick ChungNovember 21, 2011Eat at the Korean eatery on the 3rd floor before you pass security and get the kimchi ramen! Beats all the food options inside.
- Sasha BolotnovJuly 26, 2013It's a small terminal with only 10 gates or so and you benefit from it - faster check-in, shorter lines to security control and few steps to any of the gates. Rubbishy DF, but who needs them in NY?
- Berk KapiciogluDecember 20, 2014During Christmas, this terminal has security lines as long as Snake level 20. As most New York airport terminals, this terminal is also a definitive piece of shit.
- Cooper SmithAugust 1, 2013Coach, Hermes, Louis Vutton. They're all here. Unfortunately none of them serve food. Its no mans land out here. Make sure by the time you go through security you have a full belly.
- Crayton H.August 27, 2012If you're on the AeroMexico redeye to Mexico City with a first class ticket, you won't have access to the lounge without a Platino card.
- Berk KapiciogluAugust 22, 2014Wok & Roll is by far the best restaurant at the terminal. Cheap and quality (by airport standards) Chinese food.
- Diego CollazosMay 15, 2019Arrive early, for flights around 10pm to 2:00am this terminal is worse than 90% of the airports of the world, totally embarrassing for a city like New York to have this as an international terminal
- David WMay 3, 2014If you are reading this before you connect from another terminal: make sure to read the other tips. Eat before you go through security. You need the airline to stamp you boarding pass before sec.
- Sergey MalyshevMarch 27, 2012Left side from MacDonalds on the 3rd floor there is a Japanese food corner Jikji with wide selection of sake, sushi, rolls... Even toro sushi.
- Mike WeissmanMay 15, 2019Cesspool and an embarrassment. Even the lounges are sub-optimal: restrictions on priority pass and broken elevators.
- Mehmet HançerMay 26, 2014Siz öldürmesini çok iyi bilirsiniz...Benim için ABD bitmiştir daha da gelmem aga. I'm like woohoo and she's like whatever. You know it's like uhm so lame.Like like like...Gözünü sevdiğimin actually'si
- LeoNelJune 8, 2013Best place for non-traveling friends to grab a meal before your friends take off :)
- Val MinorJanuary 2, 2016Eat before you go in or suffer. Only restaurant 'The Local' is sad excuse for food. Also the terminal is just SAD. I'm longing for MSP or other awesome airports.
- Jason SuJuly 29, 2022The Air France lounge never opens to prirority pass. Due to “limited capacity”.
- When coming to the airport security check point remember to:have I.D. & boarding pass, take off shoes, sweater, belt, and crazy jewelry . It sucks when you are not prepared.
- Vivienne GucwaMarch 28, 2014Poorly designed international terminal. Food court is inexplicably located before the super long and tedious security lines and there is no indication this is the case. Get food before security line.
- Birtan ErdoganJuly 15, 2012Stupid prices in duty free. Get Irish Tullamore Dew whiskey (24 USD) instead of Jack Daniels. Plus, they have 2 for 40 USD price. Tastes great.
- Dustin LeeDecember 8, 2018Competes with Terminal 7 for worst terminal in JFK. Massive and slow security line, awful food options, lacking severely in seating.
- Hannah NicdaoMay 13, 2019I can’t tell if this terminal is shot because it’s under construction or just because it’s shit. Hedging bets on the refreshed LaGuardia being better than this mess.
- Saulius PačekajusJuly 23, 2013It's the worst airport terminal I've seen in US! The food is outside TSA, so when you're inside - well you don't eat. And you will not find a single postard to buy there - just some empty brand shops.
- Yuri PavlovApril 3, 2018Wifi won't work. I've actually never been able to connect to free airport or mall wifi anywhere in the USA! So if you're a tourist, beware.
- Tarek PertewAugust 15, 2014Once you pass the passport check, head to line 3. It's hidden behind a pole and there's no line.
- Jenny L.November 20, 2014No TSA precheck here. Slowest lines ever. If you are using this terminal get here plenty early!
- Sam MeyerApril 29, 2013If you sit at the 3rd floor food court, you can watch the TSA give their Freedom Gropes.
- every thing is clearly stated. read the signs, & you'll be fine. :-)
- Stephanie ParraMarch 11, 2018There’s a Starbucks pass security food selection post security has gotten a lot better!!
- Frankie InzirilloMarch 9, 2011All mens bathroom stalls were disgusting this morning. Must have been something going around. 2nd floor mens room turned out to be the best option.
- Stephan BeckOctober 26, 2018Be there in time. Very long waiting lines due to inefficient security check. This may easily take you 60 minutes
- Michael M2November 14, 2010Lufthansa Airport Lounge - extremely friendly personell and very relaxing atmosphere. Great!
- Q ♡February 20, 2014If you land here dont be surprised to go offline as there is no wifi and it looks like a coach terminal instead of an airport. not a pleasant welcome to nyc
- Dennis BeatleboyMay 23, 2012Easy to park and pick up. Much better system now. The security man wouldn't even take a tip to park in loading zone.
- VictorMarch 28, 2010Boingo WiFi is pretty conveniant. It works with French carrier Orange if you have an iPhone data plan. Type #125# and send to get your password. Then log you into the boingo homepage with phone number
- SanjayaKrishnaDecember 6, 2011The folks at the Martini Bar are very nice. They are located at Gate 10 in Terminal 1.
- Head down to the departure level to REcharge your cellphone. Samsung charging station is available, free of charge!!!
- Bryan OrtizOctober 19, 2011Eat before you get to terminal 1. There's really no where to eat here other than fast food or little kiosk food stands.
- Rachel W.July 9, 2017Probably the worst terminal for food in the entire NYC-metro area. Instead have whoever is taking you to the airport stop off at New Park Pizza before your flight. 🍕
- NezApril 13, 2013Duty free is so limited in Terminal 1. I was expecting a huge DF..a little bit disappointed
- Jason HeOctober 1, 2010Bristo's has the BEST cheese fries in the entire JFK Airport, Its located next to Sbarros on the 3rd fl. of departure level
- There is only one restaurant worth eating at in the whole terminal.. The employee cafeteria...
