Like everyone said, the food options past security are depressing. If you've got time to kill, it may be worth springing for lounge access. Air France's has plenty of cheese and champagne.

It's a small terminal with only 10 gates or so and you benefit from it - faster check-in, shorter lines to security control and few steps to any of the gates. Rubbishy DF, but who needs them in NY?

During Christmas, this terminal has security lines as long as Snake level 20. As most New York airport terminals, this terminal is also a definitive piece of shit.

Coach, Hermes, Louis Vutton. They're all here. Unfortunately none of them serve food. Its no mans land out here. Make sure by the time you go through security you have a full belly.

If you're on the AeroMexico redeye to Mexico City with a first class ticket, you won't have access to the lounge without a Platino card.

Wok & Roll is by far the best restaurant at the terminal. Cheap and quality (by airport standards) Chinese food.

Arrive early, for flights around 10pm to 2:00am this terminal is worse than 90% of the airports of the world, totally embarrassing for a city like New York to have this as an international terminal

If you are reading this before you connect from another terminal: make sure to read the other tips. Eat before you go through security. You need the airline to stamp you boarding pass before sec.

Left side from MacDonalds on the 3rd floor there is a Japanese food corner Jikji with wide selection of sake, sushi, rolls... Even toro sushi.

Eat before you go in or suffer. Only restaurant 'The Local' is sad excuse for food. Also the terminal is just SAD. I'm longing for MSP or other awesome airports.

When coming to the airport security check point remember to:have I.D. & boarding pass, take off shoes, sweater, belt,and crazy jewelry . It sucks when you are not prepared.

Poorly designed international terminal. Food court is inexplicably located before the super long and tedious security lines and there is no indication this is the case. Get food before security line.

Stupid prices in duty free. Get Irish Tullamore Dew whiskey (24 USD) instead of Jack Daniels. Plus, they have 2 for 40 USD price. Tastes great.

It's the worst airport terminal I've seen in US! The food is outside TSA, so when you're inside - well you don't eat. And you will not find a single postard to buy there - just some empty brand shops.

Wifi won't work. I've actually never been able to connect to free airport or mall wifi anywhere in the USA! So if you're a tourist, beware.

Once you pass the passport check, head to line 3. It's hidden behind a pole and there's no line.

Boingo WiFi is pretty conveniant. It works with French carrier Orange if you have an iPhone data plan. Type #125# and send to get your password. Then log you into the boingo homepage with phone number

Probably the worst terminal for food in the entire NYC-metro area. Instead have whoever is taking you to the airport stop off at New Park Pizza before your flight. 🍕
