- DR GMarch 13, 2015This is some of the best takeout sushi I have ever had. Personally I don't love the red rice, but they have lots with normal sushi rice. The ramen is also huge and delicious. Staff are so nice.
- Konstantin VoronovMay 8, 2018great sushi place. not quite cheap but the quality of sushi is superb. take sushi boat delux set with salmon roll and miso soup!
- Karishma PatelApril 1, 2017Amazing find! Great sushi - traditional sashimi etc + ingenious yumm rolls (kinky boots roll yumm)! Very friendly service. We will be back.
- Love their sushi! No frills, affordable, always delicious. Try the Wasabi shumai as an appetizer! So good!
- Zahra AOctober 25, 2018Great atmosphere with an authentic feel (not a chain type). Got the avo q roll and sweet potato tempura roll!
- ChristinaDecember 19, 2015Love the black rice sushi here (really delicious & healthier than brown rice). The staff is super nice too.
- emily mcgillMarch 31, 2015I love the spider rolls. And it is usually good for spotting Broadway actors between shows on Wednesday and Saturday.
- Ms HeleneDecember 10, 2015Black rice available but was over cooked and not properly seasoned. Salmon avocado roll $7. Yellowtail collar with teriyaki sauce was great $12.
- maressa magliarelliDecember 31, 2014The environment is really good and the food is amazing! It's not so cheap, but it's a good deal. I recommend.
- I've been coming here since 2001, and lately the quality and service is slacking. No plates for appetizers, tough fish, and a 20 min wait for anyone to come by with the check. What's up, Kodama?!
- Remember to smile at the chef...and when he smiles back, throw up the rancid fish like a bratty kid.
- I hate to say this but I probably eat her twice a week. Great sushi! Not to mention cheap. But if your dining in don't go for the atmosphere.
- Henry NunezApril 4, 2014The staff are so patient, and the food is great, and really affordable (considering the area)
- Brandon HartsellJune 27, 2013Very good. I have tried a few places in NYC and this did not dissappoint.
- Nastassiya PalikarpavaDecember 3, 2013I come to this place for 8 years. It's Japanese food that always made me smile in NYC saying : oishi!
- Christopher GurrSeptember 26, 2011Try any special roll that's Japanese in tone. Steer clear of the Mexican themed rolls, though. The Mex fights the fish too much. Read more
- TYreeJanuary 11, 2014service service service, I really like this place and did I say the service and food are wonderful
- Mel N.September 6, 2010VERY reasonable prices for being a couple blocks from Times Square, not to mention pretty good sushi. We saw Amber Riley (Mercedes) from Glee here!
- Some of the best sushi in the city, I eat here weekly. It's my favorite!
- Seph AllanFebruary 20, 2013The food here is great and sushirolls here are very well prices! I'm a fan!
- Edlin ChoiJanuary 24, 2012Meh. I was decently full after for $25 (tho I ate a lil bit right before). Friend pointed out the ginger was funky. Quality of the tuna and eel was < mediocre. I MIGHT go… (2 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
- Check out the Japanese special board on north side of column for off-menu items.
- Joey CJuly 8, 2013Sushi was okay but server & chef's attitude was problematic - gave me tuna roll instead of spicy tuna plus bad service... Most importantly, mandatory $4.3 tips on $24 when I am absolutely not happy!
- Roger LincolnApril 15, 2019Food is ok. Staff are sufficiently attentive. But the include the tip in your bill and calculate it after applying the tax. That’s just not cool. Also they assume that you’re tipping 18%.
- definitely try soft shell crab, and any teriyaki dish. try some nigori sake while youre at it. super friendly staff
- paiJune 30, 2012Worst dragon roll + spicy dragon roll on earth! Rice nor fish fresh. Try Takahashi Tribeca instead -> its less $ and absolutely fabulous looking + tasting sushi there
- Mike VirataDecember 27, 2011The sashisu is good value if you can't decide whether to get the sashimi or sushi!
- KostasFebruary 27, 2010Great place to dine before seeing a Broadway show. Try the seafood hot pot. The rolls r great, too!m.
- This place has recently changed owner after 30+ years in business and it has changed for the worse. I would try to avoid going here by all means. Terrible service and poor food quality.
- The lunch Bento boxes are reasonably priced and come with miso soup AND salad!
- Sit at the bar for some friendly talk with the regulars...a lot work in the area
- Fernando ClaroJuly 19, 2011sooo good and cheap! The 13 dolars menu is really good! I am comi g back!
- Mustard Roll is amazing, only place in the city that has it!
- Tainah M.August 9, 2016Nothing special and definitely not worth the price. The rolls are tiny and served warm, and my salmon was a strange reddish color. Good service, though.
