- Mingfei YanSeptember 23, 2014We came on a Tuesday late night, 15 waiting without reservation. This place requires you to take shoes off. Got lychee shochu, fresh water eel clay pot, oysters and fish. Awesome Japanese tapas.
- Yvonne BarterJanuary 20, 2017Everything tastes great here but some items are salty so get some rice to balance it out. Clay pot with salmon and roe is awesome.
- Elizabeth BursteinFebruary 12, 2023Delicious. Very authentic. Came here with Sabrina in Feb 2022 visit. Okonomayaki pizza, spare ribs were good (but overlay sauced), Agedashi tofu scrumptious, warm soba noodles were good,
- Matt GDecember 23, 2013One of my favorite restaurants, there are tons of great dishes to try. Definitely get the Unagi-meshi BBQ eel over clay pot rice and ask for dashi broth with it!
- Kyra KazantzisSeptember 15, 2012Fabulous but not cheap food, beautifully presented. Make a reservation on weekends or else. Or...arrive 15 minutes before opening for likely walk-in seat. (PS Wear easy-off shoes and clean feet!)
- If you're a rare natto-lover, you'll LOVE their tori soboro natto. iceberg lettuce cups with sauteed ground chicken and natto beans served with a spicy soy sauce
- HopeAugust 16, 2015The back of the daily menu has several types of fish with multiple preparations. Loved the kinki / rock cod braised with soy sauce and sake
- Myrna SMarch 17, 2013Try the spareribs if they are on the special menu. Also the eel hot clay pot is surprisingly tasty. Finally, it's loud inside so you probably shouldn't go here for a romantic date.
- Nancy WuApril 13, 2012Amazing food, a bit pricey but worth a splurge every now and then! Highly recommend any of the Yaki Onigiri, they never disappoint! Def make a reservation in advance-
- Some of my favorites: the sakana iroiro salad, kurobuta chashu miso pizza, curry pork potato gratin, ton jiro soup
- NanaNovember 23, 2014BBQ eel and salmon lunch bowl with dashi. Comfort food. Seafood pizza, yaki onigiri, are also good
- Fabio FerrianiAugust 10, 2017Very different dishes, have to come back several times to try them all!
- Silviu233 Preoteasa23423 weeks agoVery Gud, liked it, will come again to this crazy fusion wowowowoowowowowoowowowowowowowowowowoowowowowo place like wow so cul
- Love their natto and ground beef dish. Don't think I've seen it anywhere else
- Katerina VlachopoulosOctober 16, 2016Nice food, good service. Smells a bit of feet because of everyone taking their shoes off though.
- Try the eel pizza and the beef rolls. Warm up with a glass of shochu on the rocks. Everything here is amazing.
- Lindsay EyinkSeptember 19, 2011In Cupertino a lot for business? Try this Japanese tapas place. Don't have smelly feet, you might need to take off your shoes!
- Donn LeeJanuary 29, 2012Try the Kaisou Salad - Oh sooo good assorted seaweed salad with light dressing
- great tapas. A reservation is a must or go right when they open.
- Ted WangNovember 22, 2009Yakiniku kimuchi don is the best lunch in the bay area (kim chi with bbq beef, along with poached egg and seaweed). YUM!
- Kul WadhwaApril 4, 2011Really good food but the wait at night can be brutal if you don't have reservations.
- John H.August 10, 2011They don't allow you to bring in your own wine. We would be happy to pay corkage. :(
- Arturo CrespoJanuary 23, 2010Don't walk in on a Friday or Saturday. You may have to wait over an hour.
