Fantastic spot in the middle of everything on Polk. Great jukebox as well. Also, if you're going next door to Mayes, pop in here after you get your stamp for some mellower drinks before the madness.
Paul LomaxSeptember 1, 2013Great place to watch soccer (eg EPL) in the early hours. They do a pretty good Bloody Mary. Check out the coffin lids on the ceiling.
- Friendly staff. Plenty of TVs to watch a game and great prices. And it's the perfect spot for the homesick Texan because they have Shiner on tap and bottled Lone Star. Thank goodness!
If the front bar is packed, go straight to the back where there's another bar. It's not always open but on weekends it's a safe bet. Great drinks and staff!

I love this place. The beers are good, the prices are low, and the bartenders rock.
One of the best places on Polk Street to watch any sporting event, hang out during the week or party on the week end.
Look atthe board for Drink Specials. Awesome place to come watch sports and shoot some pool!

Pretty much the best place in SF to watch English Premier League Football (soccer to you yanks) matches. Not a 'territorial' bar, you'll often find United, Liverpool and Arsenal fans side-by-side

Organized crime: people try to start fights with you outside, and then "bouncers" try to rob you instead of de-escalate.
